Five star service. The perfect choice for family gatherings, romantic interludes or quiet relaxation. Just a short stroll to the beach, the home includes a pool with a large patio, fully equipped outdoor kitchen, dining and living areas, as well as a full outdoor bathroom with rain shower. Air conditioned interiors provide a welcome respite, or open the many windows and delight in the fresh island breeze. Interiors are decorated in casual island style. The tile floors and area rugs provide the perfect balance between sandy feet and easy luxury. Enjoy cocktails at the bar or view your vacation photos on the large screen smart TV in the adjacent living room area. High speed Internet/Wifi and cable TV are included. The kitchen is well equipped to prepare meals at home (staples are provided); indoor dining provides seating for 10\. Start your day with a coffee or tea by the pool (the coffee/tea bar is fully stocked). The main floor also includes a bedroom with full size bed, a full bathroom and laundry room. Upstairs is a great room with master king size bed (this can be converted upon request to 2 twin size beds). There is a full bath with rain shower and double vanity as well as a large sitting area with a big screen smart TV and numerous games and DVD's for your amusement. There are 2 more bedrooms upstairs; one is furnished with a queen size bed, the other is furnished with a full size bed. All beds are made especially comfortable with memory foam mattresses or toppers and hotel quality bedding and all bedrooms are equipped with TV's. The bedroom of your choice may be set up as a nursery; baby/infant gear is available upon request (pack and play, changing table, diaper pail, toys, etc.). The living room couch can provide sleeping for an additional 2 people. Wake up to paradise with breakfast on your pool deck, indulge in a peaceful morning swim, then head to the powder sand beach, just a minute away. Beach chairs, towels and umbrellas are included. Or try your hand at fishing or snorkeling with the provided gear. At day's end, indulge in the decadence of an outdoor shower or bath among the trees. Sanctuary Cottage is located on a quiet street, within easy walking distance of the beach, grocery stores, pharmacy, bank and restaurants The quaint fishing community of Spanish Wells lies just off the coast of North Eleuthera and is easily accessible by plane (at the International Airport, North Eleuthera), boat or ferry (Bahamas Ferries offers daily trips from Nassau to Spanish Wells). Golf carts are available for rent and can be waiting for you at the dock when you arrive. Spanish Wells is picture perfect with historical British Colonial cottages and colorful gardens. Lots of room to socialize or have quiet time. Close to the beach , food, drink and shopping. Sanctuary cottage is someplace that we plan on taking our entire family again. We hosted a family luncheon with 13 people and did not need to purchase anything but the food and some of that what caught by those who decided to fish or go Welking. It was close to beach and a short golf cart ride to restaurants and supermarket. When we weren’t on the beach, we spent most of our time in outdoor area and pool. The outdoor bath was a favorite! We did a full day excursion with Sheldon of Exotic Adventures. You can design your day and I highly recommend. Try the upstairs bar at the Shipyard. Leroy is the best and the views are great. When I think of the perfect beach cottage, Sanctuary Cottage would be it! It’s a comfortable, classy beach cottage with all the modern amenities. Beautifully decorated and very well equipped with just about everything you would need. We are beach people, but the pool was great to have after spending the day at the beach. The location is great, with in walking distance to the best beach access and the grocery store. We rented a golf cart to get around all of Spanish Wells and Russel Island. The kids loved the golf cart adventures, the chickens ans roosters, and bunnies in the yard. Weve been coming to bahamas for last 30 years usually the more isolated various family islands this was our first time to SW and it was very different experience but we loved it. The beach is a 8 min walk or 4 min golf cart ride and there is a playground at the church next door. It was a very enjoyable experince, The cottage was well laid out, we have never rented a place with a pool in bahamas but it was a bonus as we had cooler jan weather and We paid for heating it. alot of time was spent in it after windy cool beac days and cooler nights. The kids loved it.The manager Rachel was extremely helpful and made our trip smooth, she helped orchestrate getting on and off island and attended to all of our questions and any needs we had. The house was exactly as described. We had 3 couples the first week and 2 couples the following weeks. Plenty of room for more. We cook all our meals and the kitchen was perfect for this task. Beds were super comfy. My Son said it was the most comfortable beds he has slept in yet. The back yard was amazing. Spa like waterfall, outdoor kitchen with sink and refrigerator. Gas grill to cook all those yummy lobster tails. Pool was beautiful and refreshing. Great for days when it’s too windy at the beach or great to cool off after the beach. I spent way too much time napping and reading on the outside couch. We had a few gatherings with our friends also vacationing on island.. Everyone was very impressed with its beauty. Did I mention it also has a cabana with a toilet and shower? Great for an outdoor shower. Rachael, the manager was wonderful. She met us at the dock and was easy to reach with any questions. This is our sixth rental in 10 years on Spanish wells and it is one our favorite. Also, it’s an quick walk out the back of the property to the amazing North shore beach. Enjoy! ##### Liz F. We also knew we wanted to bring family with us to share our new found secret vacation spot. Finding Sanctuary Cottage was great decision. The house had everything we needed and then some. Bringing two toddlers along for the trip, we knew they would need a break from the beach heat/sun, so having the pool at the house was an amazing way to continue enjoying water time, but with some much needed shade. Rachel was amazing. She met us at the dock and helped us get tons of luggage transported to the house and back at the end of the week. She ensured we had everything we needed and gave us the grand tour to get settled in. There was fear the island water may be off for a day and she brought many gallons of water biy to make sure we were well stocked up. The beach and grocery store are only a block away and ultra convenient to the house. Our group consisted of myself and husband, 2 teen daughters and my parents. Everyone had plenty of space to relax and spread out. The main floor has a dining table to comfortably seat 8, living room, well appointed kitchen, coffee area, double bedroom, bathroom and laundry room. Upstairs is a large loft style king bedroom (or 2 twins) with curtains for privacy, bathroom and 2 more queen bedrooms along with a living area that has a twin/twin daybed that sleeps 2 more. Beds were all very comfortable. Individual air conditioners in each room. Plenty of towels for everyone including pool/beach towels. We appreciated having the kitchen basics of oils, Saran, seasonings etc. and all of the bathroom extras. The private backyard oasis has a covered living area and 2 dining areas, an amazing pool with waterfall, lounge chairs, propane grill, outdoor sink and fridge, and a pool cabana with a full bathroom. There is also an outdoor shower in the yard. There are plenty of beach and pool toys, beach umbrella & chairs, towels and coolers. The yard has plenty of coconut trees, banana etc. and the gardens are stunning. The location was amazing and central. We were a 2 minute walk to the most amazing and huge beach, and same to the grocery store. I definitely recommend renting a golf cart. I would absolutely recommend renting this beautiful house from Rachel. She was a wonderful host and has thought of everything. ##### Meghan M.
