The Admiral, Downtown Historic District

"The staff were welcoming and helpful, especially Chris at the front desk. Ashton, one of the servers at our private event held in The Library was excellent! I ran into Jerry Bousard, Director of Sales, and we chatted about our private event and how he did an excellent job of making sure everything went smoothly - it did. I ate in The Library on my last night. The food is not your typical bar food - delicious and the bartender was very courteous. The breakfast was okay. I wish they carried yogurt, too. As for housekeeping in cleaning my room, it lacked. Twice (2 different days) I had to speak to the front desk as it was well in the afternoon and my room hadn't been cleaned. I also had to ask for clean glasses. On my last night the room was cleaned, however, there was scraps of paper under the desk and the dish soap container hadn't been rinsed and was gloppy. It's the details that makes one want to return. The hotel is located central to shopping and restaurants, what with Dauphin Street just two blocks away. If it weren't for the housekeeping being sloppy, I'd recommend it to my friends."

"Nice size room. Floors wasn't cleaned very well and Elevators weren't working. Walked up and down 5 floors several times with no compensation for the inconvenience."

"The pool was full of debris. I could not swim in it for all the tree debris. Food was pretty good. Bed was fine. Bathroom needed better upkeep. Everyone was pleasant. Love the zero entrance pool but like I said too much tree stuff. The drain seemed clogged with all the debris being pulled to it. It was “ a lot”. It just a little bit."

"Bathroom needs some updating. A little mold around shower doors. The room had a slightly musty smell. Not a fan of the pillows. Overall the room was adequate. We have stayed there multiple times previously and just think it needs a little updating."
