"The staff was very helpful. Great ambassadors for Omni, The valet staff handled peak parking time with grace and provided comprehensive data for self-park options. the pool, gym and The only indicator of maintenance gaps included loose water fixtures in the bathroom. Otherwise, I highly recommend the Richmond Omni hotel."

"The Jefferson Hotel is one of a vanishing breed of grand historic hotels that still provide the kind of hotel experience that was already becoming rare 50 years ago. The staff are friendly and attentive, the rooms are extremely well appointed, the public spaces of the hotel are spectacular, and the restaurant is one of the best in Richmond. The hotel's only real drawback isn't its fault: the area of downtown Richmond that the Jefferson used to anchor has seriously deteriorated. Even though an effort was clearly made to try to revive Broad Street near the hotel, it's still pretty sketchy. As a result, there isn't really much of interest close to the hotel other than VCU and the Virginia Museum of Contemporary Art. That means that going out from the hotel -- to find other restaurants, see the sights, or hit the usual tourist destinations -- pretty much requires a car."

"Overall I’ll give my stay a 4 out of 5 , it is a beautiful property, staff are friendly and very attentive, rooms and public area are properly maintained, special thank you to the kitchen worker who went out of his way to get my baby’s balloon that flew up to the ceiling, my only few issues are the bed were too soft for my husband and it caused back ache for him, the tv only had cable, I wish it could at least have like a Netflix or YouTube option so you could personalize your room experience more, and the fire alarm went off like minutes after 6am and woke up the entire hotel, nobody emailed us and explained anything, at least some information to say evacuate or remain in your room or something would be good, but otherwise it was a good stay"

The Commonwealth

"The Commonwealth is our "go to" hotel when we stay in Richmond, Virginia, primarily because the rooms are huge and a great value, and the staff is friendly, helpful and determined. I do have to mention, though, that I would hope the hotel would hire more staff members. It appears that the staff on hand are expected to serve many roles, which causes the service to lag. For instance, when we checked in this last time, there was no one at the reception desk and the housekeeping supervisor partially checked us in after a long wait. I've also noticed the last couple times that we stayed that the restaurant is often lacking advertised entries or beverages. It would be great if that area was well stocked with food items, beverage choices and enough inventory to serve all guests. Still will stay at The Commonwealth though."
