I slept very well in the comfy four poster bed and it's lovely not being troubled by light pollution. The coastal path is very close, and also a beautiful walk through the wooded valley to the waterfall. I had the option of using the log burner but found the cottage was cosy enough. There is lots to see and do in the area, but I chose to walk from the cottage every day, sketchbook in hand. I hope to return. Due to its age cobwebs were an expected condition. The various floor levels made walking difficult for my wife, particularly into the bathroom. She fell in the 'kitchen' area the first night and we ended up doing the rounds of the local hospitals the next day. The front garden was quite good but needed weeding, the back garden needed a great deal of attention.
