Top South Shore Hotel Reviews

Fairfield Inn & Suites By Marriott Ashland

8/10 Good

"Property was clean and kept up. The night front desk staff were very nice and helpful. The housekeeping staff however were knocking on doors at 10 am yelling "Housekeeping" when check out wasn't until noon. We ended up leaving early after 2 housekeeping staff banged on our door at 10 and 10:10 am."

TownePlace Suites by Marriott Ironton

10/10 Excellent

"It would be very helpful if there were more handicap parking spaces and instructions on the microwave to show you how to operate it."

Delta Hotels by Marriott Ashland Downtown

8/10 Good

"The room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was delicious, and the server, Tasha, was personable, attentive and efficient. Can't say the same for the bartender - she apparently didn't care about good service. Front desk staff were very nice and efficient. Since I only stayed one night, I can't fairly evaluate housekeeping staff, except to say that my room was very clean and well stocked (towels, washcloths, etc.)."

Days Inn by Wyndham Grayson

8/10 Good

"Room was clean and bed was comfortable. Light was getting in around the window shades which affects my sleep. You will fight coming and going with the cart because it's a one glass door front entrance. But, again, it was a clean hotel."

Americas Best Value Inn Grayson

8/10 Good

"No complaints about the room which had a king bed. The Roku TV wasn't working, but the manager on duty (Jessica?) figured out the problem pretty quickly. There was a sign mentioning a swimming pool in the lobby, but it's no longer in service. Complimentary breakfast was good."

Red Roof Inn Wheelersburg

8/10 Good

"The bed was very comfortable. I didn’t like the breakfast offer, it was less than continental breakfast. I forgot my toothpaste and they didn’t help I had to go and buy"

Quality Inn & Suites Portsmouth

8/10 Good

"The staff was very friendly and helpful. She directed us to an awesome place to eat dinner in downtown Portsmouth. An old town with character. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable, the breakfast was limited but good."

Best Western River Cities

10/10 Excellent

"Good breakfast, clean room , friendly staff"
