My family & I travel a lot & heave experienced all kinds of accommodations. This property (A Summer Place) was by far the most amazing, relaxing, unique, & memorable. It felt like the vacation home we’ve always wanted, not just a rental. It was hard leaving every morning to venture into town for sight seeing… & we looked forward to getting back home to enjoy our family time there every time we did. The views… by far better than the pictures! It’s literally surrounded by the scenic lake from every angle. We’d HIGHLY RECOMMEND this wonderful property & it’ll be our only place anytime we return to R.I!

Highlights are great location, a/c through out, many spots to hang out inside and out with incredible views. Updated home and design. We had some struggles with fridge not cold, very dirty blender, dryer door popping open causing clean, wet clothes to be on the floor, and a squirrel ate through the garbage barrel. Darren was very responsive to any msgs I sent and had someone come out to clean up the garbage. He also came right away to check on the fridge and dryer. Unfortunately, we had to throw away everything in the full fridge. Some recommendations would be to have clean towels/ sheets delivered and not rely on renters cleaning. Bath, hand and face cloths were dingy with numerous stains and dish towels in kitchen drawers were dirty. Get rid of all the excess trays, bowls, dishes to give space for food in cupboards. The house manual says to make sure not to move things around in cupboards and make sure to put it back in exact spot. This is inevitable if there isn’t space for food. Also, provide a dish drying rack. We have been renting in South County for 7 years and we wouldn’t say this is the #1 rental. The views are fabulous and house is setup great with kayaks, beach chairs, room for family but above changes would make for a more enjoyable week.

The house and property are amazing. Beautiful, spotless and everything you need. Darren and Tasha are fantastic hosts. They are extremely responsive and went the extra mile to make our stay perfect.

We absolutely loved the location! Beautiful panoramic water views and privacy! Close vicinity to great restaurants, beaches and scenic sites. We loved the decor, fire pit and comfortable beds. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit! We would highly recommend this charming rental!

This is an “all inclusive” rental. The home is beautiful, clean, well equipped for renters & that’s just the inside. There is a dedicated dock, beach, w-sand, fire pit, outdoor dining, bikes, kayaks, games and yes water, the ocean in a cove. Owners couldn’t be nicer. Plan on staying put at the inclusive resort rental - shh! Once you go, you’ll plan on returning- with who is the question bc it’s a home for ALL AGES!

Perfect spot for a girls weekend- 4 adults. Very clean, enjoyed the views. It’s nice that all rooms have water views. Beds were comfortable enough. It was off season but still plenty of restaurants nearby for dinner. Spent the day in Newport doing mansion tours. Responsive and informative host.

Just a lovely property, easy to relax and take in the beautiful water and sky views on all three sides of the property. A round trip to Block Island was had, visits to shops, and a great lunch at the nearby Rathskeller restaurant.

10/10!!!!! This house was amazing! Very clean, very beachy, and a nice, quiet location. We all enjoyed our stay. Spent mornings on the dock catching crabs. Afternoons in the screened in porch, enjoying the beautiful water views. The children felt cool sleeping and hanging out in their downstairs lair! It was a love for all 8 of us (4 adults, 4 kids).

What a great place for a weekend getaway! Lots of space to relax and visit on the large screen porch. Perfect location with lots of water sports equipment to use on the pond just steps from the house. Beautiful views in all directions!

WOW! What a fabulous property and home! We absolutely loved all of the water views from almost anywhere on the property. This was our first time staying on a salt pond and we may never want to stay beachfront again. The wildlife was plentiful and mesmerizing! The neighborhood was quiet and peaceful. We were all sad to leave this sanctuary. Highly recommended!!!

Perfect get away. Quality in everything you will want on a vacation. Surrounded by water, great fishing, and close to beaches, mansions, scenic opportunities, and ,yes, the best accomodations you'll find in Rhode Island.. It is by far one of the best weeks we spent away from home.

This home was as perfect as could be. So many wonderful touches and gives one the Aha moment as soon as you walk in. We enjoyed the view, the quiet, the area and would definitely consider going back. The owners have thought of everything. Our stay, although too short, was easy and refreshing. The fact that one can bring a boat is also enticing and would guarantee even more fun. Kudos to Darren and Tasha, wish all vacation rentals were like this!

Perfect Getaway

This house was the perfect long weekend getaway for me and my family! It was in a great location to get to anywhere you want in Rhode Island. The sun porch was the perfect place to have morning coffee! I would recommend staying here for your next Rhode Island trip!
