My family & I travel a lot & heave experienced all kinds of accommodations. This property (A Summer Place) was by far the most amazing, relaxing, unique, & memorable. It felt like the vacation home we’ve always wanted, not just a rental. It was hard leaving every morning to venture into town for sight seeing… & we looked forward to getting back home to enjoy our family time there every time we did. The views… by far better than the pictures! It’s literally surrounded by the scenic lake from every angle. We’d HIGHLY RECOMMEND this wonderful property & it’ll be our only place anytime we return to R.I!

What a great place for a weekend getaway! Lots of space to relax and visit on the large screen porch. Perfect location with lots of water sports equipment to use on the pond just steps from the house. Beautiful views in all directions!

Perfect spot for a girls weekend- 4 adults. Very clean, enjoyed the views. It’s nice that all rooms have water views. Beds were comfortable enough. It was off season but still plenty of restaurants nearby for dinner. Spent the day in Newport doing mansion tours. Responsive and informative host.

Charming & cozy hideaway

Clean, well appointed home with a big yard, fire pit, and dock. Quiet and peaceful as it's located at the end of an unpaved road. Walkable (or a short drive) to a few shops and the beach. We very much enjoyed our stay!

Wonderful spot

We loved our stay here. The house is in a wonderful location with beautiful property. It had everything we needed. The only thing that I wished I had was a boat to zip around the pond and over to the ocean. We would definitely stay here again!

10/10!!!!! This house was amazing! Very clean, very beachy, and a nice, quiet location. We all enjoyed our stay. Spent mornings on the dock catching crabs. Afternoons in the screened in porch, enjoying the beautiful water views. The children felt cool sleeping and hanging out in their downstairs lair! It was a love for all 8 of us (4 adults, 4 kids).

Perfect to accommodate my family for my daughters wedding

Beautiful, peaceful setting! We were able to enjoy relaxing by the fire pit having great conversations with family prior to my daughters wedding. Plenty of room to sleep, prepare meals and not worry about having to bring towels, sheets, utensils, spices, etc. Made our stay easy and comfortable!

Peaceful Paradise!

This beautiful home was perfect for our annual girls’ get together! It was spotlessly clean, well-appointed and comfortably furnished with everything we needed and more. Be sure to try the porch swing, it’s bliss! The property has a lovely view on a quiet dead end street surrounded by water. Darren was a wonderful, responsive host who pays attention to the details that make for a fun and relaxing vacation. We hope to revisit!

Off Season Stint

We enjoyed our time at the house. The setting and space were lovely. One thing of note to future guests, they have people come by the house to take care of the lawn during the week without notice. Just ask for the schedule from the hosts and you should be fine.

Quaint and beachy

Perfect stay for touring URI. The house was clean and we loved the sunny porch for meals. The owner Darren was responsive and helpful. The only thing I would suggest is a non stick fry pan or electric griddle. It made it a little difficult to make pancakes. Everything else was perfect!!!

Annual Friends' Weekend Getaway

When booking online it is often difficult to be assured that the information presented is accurate. In this case it really was; this truly is a stunning home in a secluded spot; even the wildlife was welcoming! We were there in winter and had a snow storm keeping us indoors for half of our weekend but that did not detract from our enjoyment at all, in fact, it added to the ambiance of our weekend. The only downside, if there was one, was the approach road being unpaved and muddy when we arrived; I'm inclined to think that in time this road will be paved. We would definitely return to this beautiful, serene spot.

A Perfect Weekend by the Water in Rhode Island

We just spent an incredible weekend at a house overlooking a beautiful pond in Rhode Island, and it was everything we could have hoped for. Our weekend was filled with a mix of outdoor activities and peaceful relaxation. We enjoyed walks along nearby trails and spent hours simply sitting by the pond, soaking in the serenity. In the evenings, the reflection of the moonlight on the water was breathtaking—a memory we’ll carry with us for a long time. This little slice of Rhode Island offered a perfect escape from the hustle and bustle. If you’re looking for a peaceful retreat surrounded by nature, this house by the pond is a true gem!
