This vintage New England farm cottage sits on over an acre and is surrounded by open space. Centrally located in the Heart of South County, the cottage has a rare blend of convenience and solitude. There are many gardens and outdoor spaces here to enjoy peacefully after a long day of adventure. The property is surrounded by a tree plantation and farms, buffering the outside world, and offering peaceful nights and quiet mornings on the deck and patio. The outdoor shower is heavenly. and there is a seasonal herb garden for those who want to take advantage of the full kitchen. For your health, this property is a poison and pesticide free zone, as part of our mission to be a healthy and happy retreat. With our location, Little Farm Cottage is close to beaches, restaurants, shopping, rail, URI, and all points north and south. Newport is a scenic 20 minutes away. The house sits back and up from the road, has a beautiful night sky, and plenty of off street parking. On a calm night you can hear the yip of a coyote or the low of a cow, and it is easy to forget that you are so close to so many amenities. The country road leads to an easy commute to anywhere you want to go. Notable destinations are only a 5 to 20 minute ride. 5 minutes to Hwy 1 N & S, 5 minutes to the business district of Wakefield. You can stock up and never go shopping, or "run into town" for a last minute item. Our best Beaches, Golf courses, great Restaurants, URI Campus, NOAA, Grad School of Oceanography, Museums, Block Island Ferry, the City of Newport and Historical Landmarks are all within a 15 mile radius. The celebrated Narragansett Pier area is 6 miles. Many of the state's top restaurants under 10 miles. So much to do in the surrounding area - from wineries to breweries, from country to coast. The location is away from the crowds but easy access to all the tourist attractions. The cottage is very comfortable and the property has gorgeous gardens. We love the vases of flowers about the house, the treats in the refrigerator and especially enjoy the outdoor shower after a long day at the beach! ##### Terri O. The proximity to beaches, walking/hiking, great food was an added bonus. Victoria was accessible and very personable whether she was tending to the horse or just walking the property. The home was clean and comfortable for our 5-day trip. The property was beautiful with plentiful gardens and wildlife and the owner's gorgeous horse. The cottage itself was adorable with great outdoor spaces. Indoors was nicely decorated and well appointed. Super comfy bed and great shower for relaxing after a long day out & about at the Newport Folk Festival. This home and property is located in a private neighborhood nestled in between a Christmas tree farm, yet is so close to all of the beautiful Rhode Island beaches, Block Island Ferry and great restaurants. The property is clean and lovingly well cared for by the owner herself with all sorts of antiques and cool decorations. She was responsive accommodating to some last minute request and couldn't be nicer. Her property is exactly as appetized in a beautiful farm, setting, quiet close to go. The little farmhouse has a comfy bed, great showers (indoor or out!), cozy linens, and all the amenities you could need. We enjoyed our time relaxing in the calm, welcoming environment of the cottage and grounds as much as we did exploring the stunning coastlines and Block Island nearby. We had the pleasure of meeting the owner the day before we left (five day stay). She was a delightful, caring person who truly believes in hospitality. We entered this extremely clean cottage to find not only staples, but some thoughtful treats in the refrigerator. The outside was a haven! Peace, calm, & serenity exuded from every corner of this property. I sat for hours enjoying the well attended country landscape and walked almost every part of this enchanting property. So much better than staying in a cold hotel room with no fresh air, scenic view of any open space or fresh air. Here we were able to cook outside, enjoy the quiet peaceful night breeze and just stare at the stars sitting on the outdoor patio. We were able to light a nice fire in the fire pit and enjoy the warm fire late into the night. The amenities in the house were great, everything one would need were there, just like being at home. That is what it felt like, being home with all the things we wish we had in our own place. All the amenities plus the special benefits of being away from home but feeling like we wish it was like a place we would want to actually live in. We will definitely stay here the next time we are back in this part of the country. The place was so hart warming with all the detail that was placed in making the home so warm and friendly, Thanks to the datils that our host, Victoria Silvestri made in welcoming us to this wonderful place. Victoria was very attenuative to all our needs and wants, any time, she made us feel Special and was a great home welcoming feeling when we first walked into the house. We can't say how wonderful it felt being there the only time we were a bit sad was when we had to pack up and look back and knew we were going to miss being in such a place and heading back to our fast paced life back into our living location. ##### Peter M.
