Get away to Pleasant View, my South Haven custom home with 4 ensuite bedrooms directly on Lake Michigan with a privately owned beach, NOT an association beach. Captivating Lake Michigan views welcome you from the first and second floors as well as the primary third floor suite.

Unwind on the arbor porch swing while watching the lake. Relax to the sound of waves from Adirondack chairs lining the two porches overlooking Lake Michigan. Enjoy breakfast, lunch, and dinner from the bluestone patio while watching the waves dance on the lake. At night, warm around the patio fire pit and toast marshmallows.

The open floor plan and amenities invite family togetherness. The living and dining area on first floor boast wall to wall windows overlooking the lake as well as a cozy window seat. There is seating for everyone at the large dining table. A gas fireplace adds to the ambiance. Quartz counters top the custom cabinetry of the well equipped kitchen.

The generous main suite bedroom features a wall of windows overlooking the lake with a king bed, private bath, and quiet sitting area. Two large bedrooms on the second floor each have 9 foot patio doors for a spectacular view and access to second floor deck. Each has a queen bed and its own private bath. Kids will delight to bed down in built in bead board bunks with nautical theme lighting and private bath. With 4 bedrooms and 4.5 baths, this home is perfect for families and grandparents.

Walnut floors throughout the house add charm with a custom walnut staircase reaching from the basement to the third floor. The finished basement with ping pong, flat screen TV, full laundry, and cozy seating area complete the home. There is also free fast WiFi with excellent extended range.

Access the privately owned beach by stairs off bluestone patio. Relax, listen to the waves, visit with friends, and enjoy the views from decks with seating built into the stairs. Stroll the shoreline for miles. Build sandcastles and memories with your kids. Enjoy watching the waves dance along the shore. The outside shower with heated water is perfect for washing off after a fun-filled day along the shore. Beautiful home on the lake

We loved walking down to Lake Michgan. The house sits on top of a bluff and was the perfect location for watching the sun set and roasting marshmellows on the fire pit. My family enjoyed a wonderful week here.

Great house and view

We had a great stay. We planned a last minute trip and Jim was super helpful and responded quickly to all our questions. The house is great, clean, and the location is quiet. We loved the beach access and view from the house and the yard. We wouldn't hesitate to come again with just our family or a larger group!

Perfect Family Retreat

At 568 Mozart is a beautiful stately well furnished house with a gorgeous view of Lake Michigan and an amazing 179 step staircase to a very private beach. Would go back in a heart beat.

Beautiful house in a peaceful lakefront location

Wonderful view of the lake greets you as soon as you walk through the front door, and the house was spotless and very comfortable. It has a well situated kitchen and gorgeous dining room table. The beds were great and we appreciated that each had its own en-suite bathroom. The wood flooring throughout the house is stunning. The owner was super responsive and hospitable. We had a deer visit the backyard which was a nice surprise. Highly recommended, and we’d love to visit again sometime.

Love the View

Your home is gorgeous!! We loved all of the details and care you put into it. Our ping pong tourney was a blast! my only issue was with the steps down to the beach. I didn't realize it was nearly 200 steps. It wouldn't have been a problem, except my husband has a knee injury and was never able to go to the beach as we were not sure he could make it back up. I have come to find out that several reviewers make reference to the amount of steps. I suppose I should have read more reviews. I wish that you had put the amount of steps in your main description, so that we wouldn't have been caught off guard. Thank you.

Marvelous!

Let me just preface this by saying that during the last 10 years we have stayed at over 40 vacation homes throughout the midwest. This one stands out and I am grateful to the owner for letting us enjoy this lakefront property and create memorable family experiences. We had an extended weekend stay with kids 9-13 and greatly enjoyed all amenities the house had to offer and the private beach. What stood out to me the most, was the striking architectural elegance of the home. Inside and out, everything in its proper place, harmonious symmetry and masterful design execution down to the smallest detail. Other highlights for us are the outdoor spaces and private beach. We would spend long hours at the beach and nights around the firepit on the patio enjoying ourselves and the vistas. I loved the beach. In the early hours, waters were calm and kids would swim, play games, and go pebble hunting. At the time, water was waste deep 50 yards into the lake which was awesome. Mornings I would run up and down the stairs that lead to the beach for an awesome workout. That said, if you have any kind of mobility issues, you will not be able to enjoy the beach as the vertical drop to it is significant. The athletic types would love it. I would highly recommend this vacation home and we will hopefully be back someday soon.

Great Getaway!

We had 3 couples for a long weekend getaway and chose this house because every bedroom has a lake view and its own bath. Also the main space is open for gathering PLUS there’s beach access for long walks along the water! The house was just as shown and even better. It’s lovely and light inside. Kitchen was great for food prep and shared meals at the big table. We enjoyed morning coffee on the porch looking out at the lake and sunset cocktails down on the beach. Grilled out in the back yard which is also well-appointed—tables with umbrellas, outdoor shower, swing located perfectly to watch the lake/sunset. The 180 step staircase to the beach is a workout, so be advised (and make sure you have what you want as “running back to the house to get something” is a real climb! But the beach area is private and so much fun to walk. Easy swimming/wading/beach rock collecting too, and they keep chairs for you stored conveniently close to the bottom of the staircase. No beach towels/cooler in the house, so bring your own. (NOTE TO JIM: that might be something to add to this already well-stocked place.) The house is close to both Saugatuck/Douglas and South Haven for restaurants and shopping/exploring. We went to nearby state park for a hike too (dunes trails and beach access). This place will be gorgeous ALL year around. The host was so easy to work with and really responsive when I had a few questions about check-in. Highly recommend.

Fantastic location directly on Lake Michigan, about 8-10 minutes North of South Haven. Beautiful home, functional layout, well built and clean. You can tell that the owners really care about the home and pay attention to the details. Incredible views (especially those Lake Michigan sunsets!). Access to the beach is typical of the area - house on bluff, so lots of steps down, but very nice beach below. Would definitely consider staying again!

Relaxing Beach Vacation

My husband and our 3 adult children spouses enjoyed a wonderful week of relaxing beach time. As mentioned in the listing..the sunsets were spectacular! The home was very clean and accommodated us well. It is hard to find homes with 4 bedrooms w/ensuite bathrooms. While not a necessity, everyone enjoyed having their own space. We found everything we needed to cook some meals at home and proximity to South Haven and Saugatuck made for an easy drive to dinner in town. A great family vacation..highly recommend!

Lovely Family vacation spot

Our vacation with family of 11 what just great at the Mt. Pleasant home! It was the perfect size with all the amenities you could want in a rental. The home was beautifully appointed and beds were comfortable. We hope to be back!

Nice Family Retreat

Great view of Lake Michigan. Wonderful access to Meijer and town for all your needs. Stairs workout to get to the beach. Beach has lots of rocks but there is a sand bar you can walk to for your water fun.

Amazing views, beautiful home

We had a great stay at this home. The views were great, the home was very clean, modern and comfortable. The beach was private and beautiful- we saw a deer on the beach twice. There are many steps to the beach, but we knew that before renting and viewed it as our exercise. The host was great and responsive.

Lake Michigan Family Vacation

Outstanding lake home with beach access at the end of your private stairs. Our entire family enjoyed the Beautiful, well designed for families, beach home. Between cooking breakfasts in the spacious/ open kitchen to grilling dinners on the patio with a bonfire, couldn’t get any better…! Our adult children and grandchildren loved playing in the water, as Papa and Gigi watched and walked along the beach. Shopping lunch in downtown South Haven was excellent too. Highly Recommend!

Great Location & Views

We really loved this location. There was plenty of space indoors and outdoors for our group of 12. All the bedrooms had attached bathrooms, which was super convenient. The indoor space was very clean and well decorated with a beachy vibe. It was a short walk to the beach, & we appreciated having beach chairs and toys provided. The outdoor space was amazing and offered a spectacular view of the water. We would definitely come back to this location.

Our whole family enjoy our stay at your beautiful home. Everything was wonderful. The steps going down to the beach were a challenge but we a managed. The battery in the bedroon on the second floor kept beeping saying fire. We took out the battery. We did love our stay. Gretchen fire.
