Downtown, close to everything, family friendly, newly renovated.

  • Our home is conveniently located about 4 blocks to Lake Michigan and the beach. It is also about 4 blocks to the wooden kids park and downtown. The cottage has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. It sleeps 8 guests. Everything you may possibly need can be found in our cottage for a comfortable stay. We have a washer and drier. There are 2 porches to relax on and yard/outdoor furniture. Happy booking.

The property and house is exactly like the pictures. It is only a short walk (4 long blocks) to the south beach. It is located in a quiet, safe neighborhood. It had everything you need to stay for the week. If we ever come back to the area we will stay here again!

Great for the family

This house was perfect for our little beach trip! My husband and I were traveling with 3 kids, grandma, and a babysitter and there was enough room for all of us to spread out and relax. Grandma appreciated the bedroom on the first floor. Both the porch and the sunroom were wonderful additions to the space and we used the grill and fire pit for dinner and s’mores. I loved that we were walking distance to the kid’s corner playground and the beaches were minutes away too. We would definitely come back to this clean and comfy cottage!

Ladies visit

We enjoyed our stay in South Haven. The house was comfy and well equipped. The location is great and the neighborhood is quiet. We are getting older and notice little things like hand rails now. The back porch step could use a post or hand rail to help our senior set. We didn’t have time to enjoy the backyard, but the fire pit looked inviting. Would love to visit again.

At The Beach

The premises were comfortable. Everything worked and if there were any problems the owners took care of it immediately. The only suggestion we could make was more baskets in downstairs bathroom and bedrooms and more hangers in downstairs bedroom. Nice tidy homebase

The house was very very clean and good size for our family. We enjoyed the location (as we have stayed in South Haven before). That being said, even though the house was a little further from everything than described (a little under 15 mins walk to downtown and the beach) it was a short drive to very beautiful overlooks and beaches. The downstairs was cool but the upstairs was very warm (and we appreciate the fans). The kitchen had lots of spices and condiments, but the kitchen ware (pots, pans, mixing bowl etc) was less than adequate for a family of 5 to cook and prepare food. Overall we enjoyed our stay and would come and stay again, but we would be more prepared had we knwon these things up front.

Girls Weekend!

My two friends and I stayed for 3 nights. The property was great. Everything we needed was included - bath towels, beach towels, lots of toilet paper, paper towels, dishes, shampoo, ceiling fans, standing fans, etc. There were even 4 mini bottled waters in the fridge! The only thing missing was a wine/bottle opener. Loved that there was a front porch and a sunroom - we used both! Location was perfect. We walked to the downtown area every morning. South Beach was a short drive away. No complaints. The only reason I did not give the property a 5 was the lack of communication from the owner. I stay in rental properties all the time and am used to more friendly responses from the property owner. Customer Service to me is a big deal. Everything else though was great... would definitely recommend.

Too short!

The property was comfortable except the stay was way too short! We had to wait until 4p to check-in and we had to be out by 10 a. The reason we could not check-in was because they have someone cleaning for five hours before each guest. Then when we did check-in I noticed the stairs were not vacuumed and the upstairs bathroom, toilet, tub and showers were not very clean. The shower water fixture in the upstairs bathroom was really strange every time someone used it they couldn’t figure out how to turn off the water and left it running for someone to figure out. They need to replace that!! It was rather warm upstairs with the high ceilings and the ceiling fan was blowing hot air down on you and it should be set in reverse so it brings the cool air up. They did have a decent standing fan so that helped! The beds were comfortable but the TV upstairs we had to reset the cable box for awhile because it wasn’t working which took a bit of troubleshooting. Overall comfortable but I don’t think I’ll stay again.

Awesome location for a family of 4 with two small children. Very close to downtown, an awesome children’s playground, and the beach. House was much bigger than expected which was a pleasant surprise. Stairs were a little tricky with our curious toddler but we made it work. Host was very responsive the morning of check out when we had a little hiccup. Would definitely stay again!
