Downtown South Haven, close to everything, family friendly, very clean

Our yellow cottage is located right in South Haven. The historic downtown shopping, restaurants, beaches, pier, and marinas are just a 5 minute drive away. We offer two bedrooms (1 wt king, 1 wt queen), spacious living room with a sleeper sofa. Laundry on site and a pretty nice size back yard.
Check In: anytime after 3. Check out: 10 am
The cottage was once affiliated with the Hotel Nichols right downtown. Although the hotel sold in fall 2017. You can check out our reviews on Trip-advisor. We are ranked #1.

From the booking to the communication to the cleanliness, location, etc … everything always great. Love the location, close to town. We rented a golf cart to get around town and just had a fantastic stay! Highly recommend!

Great Spot For South Haven Stay!

Excellent, quiet spot near downtown South Haven. Within walking distance of most amenities for those willing and able and easily drive-able! Check-in process was smooth and easy (took me a second to discover the lockbox). Very clean and welcoming. No issues during our stay, great communication, easy check out process! Great spot for couples looking for a quiet getaway and even works well for small families such as my own!

This little house was the perfect place four our family of four to stay. The neighborhood felt very safe and the neighbors were friendly, we were a close drive to everything, the house was stocked with whatever we needed, and it was very cute! It seemed like updates had been done since the photos were taken and it was very adorable and beachy!

Great location

We were very impressed by the cleanliness of the yellow cottage. The kitchen and bathroom were very well stocked with anything you would need for an extended stay, as well as plenty of extra linens in the bedrooms. The location was perfect, just a short 5 minute drive from downtown or the beach. Definitely recommend!

"Little Yellow Cottage"

It was a little further away from town and beach than we thought. Didn't feel it was safe to bike to town to Van Buren bike trail or Beach. We made it work by just driving downtown, and to North Beach and to bike trail. Other than that it was wonderful!

Overall a good rental for our time in South Haven. Location was good, not really walkable but only a short couple of minutes in the car to any place we needed to go. House was clean and had anything we needed. A couple of cons or things that would make it better- -bedrooms are very bright with sheer/white curtains. Some darker window curtains would have been nice. -the larger bedroom had several cubicle shelves filled with decorations (not shown in photos) that was a challenge to keep my 2 young kids away from. -some game boards or small tote of toys would have been nice for kids/families

Cute little cottage

We had a great few days at this cozy cottage! Clean and pretty well stocked. Great location, an easy bike ride to town, the beach, and the Kal-Haven trailhead. Just a couple things to note. First you should update your pictures on your listing. 2 nice sized couches are now in the living room, making the room a comfy place to relax after a busy day. Only 2 negatives: the bathroom needs a fan to ventilate, and please remove the red lobster trivet. My friend made tea and sat the hot teapot on it. When she lifted the tea pot to get her second cup, the trivet stuck to the bottom of the kettle, then released and landed on her foot. It’s cute, but not safe. Thank you for sharing your home!

I recently stayed at this lovely rental home, and it was an absolutely delightful experience. The home was incredibly cozy and welcoming, with charming decorations that made me feel like I was in my own space. Everything was spotless and well-maintained, with a fully stocked kitchen and all the essentials readily available. The check-in process was seamless, and I appreciated the ease of getting into the home without needing to meet the host in person. Parking was convenient, both in the driveway and on the street. The beds were exceptionally comfortable, ensuring a good night's sleep after a long day at work at GridLife (10am-1:30am every day 😅). The only minor issue I encountered was the lack of extra garbage bags (unless I just couldn't find them), but this was a very small inconvenience in an otherwise perfect stay.
