The cottage is charming and great for 2 people but would find it a bit crowded for the 6 beds it advertises. The neighborhood was very quiet. The house was small and cramped with very low ceilings (so low my husband hit his head on the doorways). It also had a slight lean. Bedding in the master had holes and blood stains. The bathroom had a funky smell. The kitchen had a broken light. The front door was unlocked when we arrived. However, the fenced in yard was nice and we appreciated the quiet neighborhood and location. We loved the backyard deck, the front porch, and the kitchen was very nice. Overall, we enjoyed our stay. The house is small and I would not recommend 6 people to stay. It is really best for 2 adults or 2 adults with small children. The sleeper sofa was not comfortable and the bunk beds are really for young kids. The house has a slight lean to it as well. The neighborhood was quiet. Super easy drive to town. The rental agency was great and easy to work with. We walked to the very large playground daily for our 5 year old son to play on. We would then walk to the beach from the playground and spend the day there. Downtown South Haven is only 5 minutes away. It was quick and easy to navigate to. There are towns with lots of activities for adults and kids within a 45 minute drive that made the stay even better.
