Secluded atmosphere, yet just 2 miles from shopping. With new carpeting and wood floors, this cabin is clean, comfortable and well equipped, with lots of room to spread out in. Leave the crowds and high prices of the Summit area behind and ski Wolf Creek (20 minutes), the most snow in Colorado and still the cheapest lift tickets. We had 2 couples & 5 children. The kids had a great time at the river. We rode our side by sides straight from the property to the trails and rode over 250 miles in the week we stayed there. There is a beautiful lake really close by and the fishing was excellent. South Fork was a great place to go if you want to get away from the crowds. The only negative was a few areas could have been cleaned better. The upstairs bathroom shower and the kitchen. I think people before us put away some pots & pans that were still dirty. Fully stocked kitchen, variety of sleeping areas, and a large relaxing front deck. This is our second stay with Dan because it fits our needs so well. There was a surprise visitor, we're assuming a bear, that had knocked over the dumpster and spread trash everywhere before we got there. The cabin was nice, it was dated and could use some updating. The location was excellent for skiing at Wolf Creek. Five families stayed in this 5 bedroom cabin. The size was great! The price was amazing, also! The only complaint I have is that the showers and tubs had buildup of soap scum. I looked for bathroom cleaner and a brush to just clean it myself, but was unable to find any. I suspect they were in the closet that was locked. Due to the great price and the excellence of everything else, I would definitely come back (but with bathroom cleaner and a brush in hand. LOL). The cleanliness of the cabin left a lot to be desired. Used contact lenses on dresser. Did not look like the floors had been cleaned upstairs or down. To the owners credit, I did call him about this and he offered to send the cleaning lady over in the morning. The picnic table needs some serious attention and the bench by the front door I would say just remove it as there is no seat left in it. ##### Julie W. Started off with confusing booking dates. July 31 to Aug 5 was our dates. Three days before leaving, they send info, dates were through Aug 4\. Another saying Aug 6\. Being scare we’d be short on our vacay time. I’d booked another home from 2 nights. Finally calling the owner, he was confused on our dates too. Finally they got the dates right, had to cancel our home. 2). Arrived at the home, nice room and plenty beds, BUT it was dirty and needed maintenance on several things. Thinking this man needs a better housekeeper. 3) we enjoyed our family time between at the home ad Fun Valley. ##### Donna S.
