This lodge easily houses our group of 15-20 every year for our annual ski trip, and it has plenty of space to relax, play games, cook, and eat together. The owners are easy to communicate with and friendly people. We played games and cooked dinner each evening in the dinner/living room. Pool and foosball tables were fun additions that are downstairs. On top of this, we got lucky with a lot of snow to play in. Our group had the most incredible stay at the Rio River Retreat in South Fork, CO. This massive wood cabin sits right on the river, creating the perfect backdrop for a winter getaway. Whether we were warming up by the fireplace after a day on the slopes or just soaking in the peaceful surroundings, every moment felt like a dream. The cabin itself is beautifully maintained, spacious, and well-equipped for a group stay. Plenty of room to spread out, yet cozy enough to bring everyone together. But what really made our stay special was the hospitality of the owners. They went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed and made us feel truly welcome. If you’re looking for a stunning, relaxing, and well-run retreat in the mountains, this is it.
