Situated on 3 Mile Pond in Mid-Coast Maine it is conveniently located minutes from Augusta or Waterville, 30 minutes east to the coast(Belfast), 45 minutes to Camden/Rockland area or south to Portland. Bangor is a 1 hour drive as well as Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park. This home features 2 - 1st floor bedrooms with queen beds and a 2nd floor bunk room with a queen bed. There is also a queen pull-out sofa in the downstairs hang out room plus 2 twin sized Aero beds which could easily be set up for small children in the oversized 2nd floor bunk room. The full bath features a shower/jetted tub combo. The half bath also houses the stackable washer/dryer unit. Step down into the kitchen/living area where there are all modern stainless appliances including a gas stove, built in microwave, double door fridge, dishwasher, ample pots, pans, utensils, tableware, etc. The owner is a chef so this is a chef's kitchen!! Also provide are a toaster, drip AND Keurig coffee makers and a large array of spices and kitchen staples to get you started cooking. The living room open to the kitchen is furnished with a gas fireplace and a big screen TV with surround sound, DVD and satellite reception(DISH). There is also a flat screen TV in one of the 1st floor bedrooms as well as a flat screen TV/DVD/VCR in the 2nd floor bunk room. Wifi is also provided. Sliding glass doors off of the eat in kitchen provide an expansive view of the lake as well as lead to a large full-sized deck with deck furniture, gas grill and access to the back yard. The downstairs hang out room leads to the walk-out basement and has plenty of room for games and jigsaw puzzles(provided) as well as a small drink/beer fridge. 3 Mile Pond is a 1,174 acre lake allowing motorcraft(public boat landing is 5 minutes away). While bass fishermen may be around it is mainly a very quiet lake. Kayaks and canoes are the norm and a single kayak, double canoe and pedal boat are provided with the home as well as life vests. The Fieldstone convenience store is located 5 minutes away for gas, ice, Dunkin Donuts and great pizzas made in house. Hanaford grocery store is 10 minutes away in the village of South China along with the Post Office, Family Dollar and Back's Ice Cream Parlor. Relax on the deck and listen to the loons, watch for Bald Eagles and Blue Herons or the ducks that return every year to raise their young. Paddle, pedal, swim or fish the lake. Loved it! Well supplied and good ac!! Needed it! Then needed snuggly warm wraps all in one week! Needs a good bird book to go with all the great cookbooks to curl up and read during the rainy days. Amazing fishing We loved our week stay here. We chose it due to proximity to family and the boating/fishing opportunities. We hope to return next year. My husband caught over 100 fish over the week! The only thing I wish I had known was that the internet was not very strong and since two of us had to work while on our trip, we ended up hotspotting our phones instead. Small detail and hope in the future to not have to work on a trip! Jeanne was very responsive and communicative. Kitchen had everything we could need. We did a couple of day trips to Belfast & Camden which are within an hour of the house. We also did a couple of day trip hikes that were nearby as well. Hannaford is 5 minutes away which is so convenient. The neighbor Dennis was very nice but I was not anticipating the houses to be so close. Overall great time with family and friends. ##### Tammy M. This home fit the bill nicely. The small neighborhood is peaceful and though we didn't have an opportunity to enjoy the lake, the boats that were available were inviting. The air conditioning worked well but bedroom doors needed to stay open for the rooms that weren't equipped, not a big deal for us. I enjoyed the pleasant deck in the early morning, and as we had business and meetings in the Augusta area, the 20-minute trip on Highway 3 was convenient. We would happily return on a future visit. ##### Edward K.
