Experiencia espeluznante

Posted 10-Sep-2016

Nice hotel with long history. The location is great, right by the center square of the town. The room is clean. The bathroom is modern and shiny clean. The breakfast buffet is great, lots of varieties. The only cons is the wifi is weak and hard to connect in our room.

Excellent building but horrible service

Posted 31-Aug-2016
Pros: Location and the building interior and exterior
Cons: Please visit some other good hotels (Polonia Palace in Warsaw for one) to see what customer service should look like. You don't deserve any stars!
Location: Main square and vicinity has many dining places and BEER is served everywhere.
This is the place travellers should stay clear off for their own good. The building and the photos are all nice but the staff has no idea how to run that facility. From outrageous check in, refusing to provide us with parking spot despite asking for it in writing during booking process here on Expedia, no help offered when needed, complete indifference altogether. Room we had was so called superior double that was really good for a single traveller only not a couple (attic with the view on another roof) - yet they called it a double since there were two of us. I have a feeling that we were "awarded" with it as a reprisal for cornering receptionist with copies of our booking re: car parking and having it in the end. Minibar with TREE bottle of soft drinks and one half empty already (!) no coffee making facilities, no promised (on their own website) bathrobes. Noisy aircon so had to turn it off and open the window, local tower clocks sounding every 15 minutes, party goers rolling out ~ 3AM and occasional Harley motorcycle driving past - all that made nights to be nightmares. Breakfast as a part of the deal was another surprise - dull choices (bread was super), various sizes of tea spoons (!), utensils looked unwashed, no fresh fruits served apart from fruit salad, waiting staff with the same stoney faces - smile was a rarity there. All seemed to suffer some pain to be there (myself included). Car lift guys were notable exemption - always willing to help and with a smile.

Classy Hotel

This is a beautiful hotel in a charming square. Rooms were big and comfortable with air conditioning. A bonus!! The complimentary breakfast buffet was excellent. Highly recommend!!

Posted 21-Aug-2016
Pros:
Cons:

Excellent location

The hotel is located at the center of the square. We had a nice room with fantastic view of the square. The pillow is too soft and breakfast is so so.

We stayed two nights on the top floor and it was so hot that we couldn't manage to sleep at all. I don't understand why the staff couldn't change the room as there were plenty empty rooms on website. Breakfast was terrible. I booked it based on the reviews but still didn't work it out how so many high ratings here. Maybe I was unlucky

Stayed for one night. Got a room with very good view of the main square. Enjoyed and sunset from my window :) The staff was helpful and spoke well understood English. She helped us plan the day trip to the Hlunoka Castle (although the bus schedule she gave us was a bit off- I suppose it's out of date but I totally understand that! Not blaming! Pointed out here just to alert others to go check the schedule at the terminal yourself :)

Right on the Square

Posted 10-Jul-2016
Pros: Location.
Concerts each night we stayed, but over by 10:00PM. so all was good. Square active during the day. Decent restaurants and beer spots all next to the hotel. Parking out back by elevator, very secure, only escorted access. Clean rooms. Has been around since 1533 so they know what they're doing!!
