"May 10, 2026 We had a wonderful stay at DeSoto Bed and Breakfast Inn. The home is beautiful, charming, and filled with historic Savannah character, while still feeling warm and comfortable. A special thank you to Rick, the Innkeeper, who made our stay even more enjoyable. His hospitality, kindness, and attention to detail abd historical knowledge shared made us feel truly welcome from the moment we arrived. The organic breakfast was majestic — truly King and Queen worthy. It was fresh, delicious, beautifully prepared, and such a lovely highlight of our stay. The location was perfect for enjoying both Savannah and Tybee Island, giving us the best of historic charm and coastal relaxation. The rooms, front and back porches were cozy, comfortable and thoughtfully prepared, and everything felt peaceful, personal, and memorable. I would highly recommend DeSoto Bed and Breakfast Inn to anyone looking for a charming, welcoming, and truly special Savannah/Tybee Island getaway. "

"Absolutely beautiful place but I do want to point out the small inconveniences we ran into. This house does not advise that it's the upstairs unit until you rent it, not an issue for us this trip but it would have been nice to know. You are in reaching distance to the restaurant next door but that also comes with the noise of trash, washing things outside, workers, etc. If you have little ones that require a nap during the day I would not suggest this place but all together things we could work around. The house took full advantage of the space it has and it's absolutely beautiful with plenty of sun to bask in. We loved how close it was to everything and the pool is amazing. Plenty of floats and just a fun time to be had. Like I said, small inconveniences but still a great time with a beautiful house."

"I was surprised by the state of our room considering we have stayed here before and it was great last time. This time however, there were strands of hair EVERYWHERE. On the floor, in the shower, on some of the towels. Considering we both have extremely low cut hair (buzzed), we knew it wasn’t from us. Other than that, it was okay. The view of the ocean was nice. "

"So we picked this place because it said it was a great place for couples...saw pics on the site that showed a fancy bed and in room jacuzzi. What we saw was really nice. What we got was a basic room! Musty no pics on the walls, cables were hanging from under the mounted TV. Seams like however put the flooring down was guessing!!The up was it was close to the beach and all the good end of the strip. It was the middle of the week so I really don't understand the subpar room. Was it because we used Hotel.com or because we were black?"

"I believe the part of the hotel we stayed in was not part of the newer renovated rooms, the room we had was comfortable and very clean. The room was small and the bathroom was very tiny, but since it was just my husband and I it was adequate. We only stayed one night. The bed was very comfortable! I would definitely stay again but if I were staying multiple days I'd get a bigger room. The front desk clerk was very pleasant and welcoming! The air conditioner worked very well and the water pressure was excellent. The room rate was great for what we got! The pool looked very nice and was crystal clear although we didn't get a chance to use it. The motel was only a short walk to the beach!"
