The owners were very helpful all round from communication before arrival to helping me out with anything I needed whilst there. The bed and bedding were excellent, the room spacious, clean and enticing and the bathroom had a selection of good quality toiletries. Location is great in central Faro, but be aware that means parking can be awkward. I'd definitely stay again if visiting Faro

A fantastic and spotlessly clean hotel. We stayed here for a week at the start of March. Unfortunately the weather wasn't the best, which meant the rooftop bar and pool area was closed for the first couple of days. Despite the weather, Olhao is a lovely little town with enough bars and restaurants all within walking distance of the hotel. Rooms are lovely and clean with good air conditioning, exactly as described. The pool was lovely and clean and the staff were attentive and happy to give us recommendations for places to eat etc. Perfect for a chilled weekend in the sun!

Beautiful tranquil location. No food after 4pm, not even a bowl of peanuts, so we had to drive to town to get food!

Fabulous. Only issue was the name which is not obvious outside the building but police station opposite so when you know this it is easy to find. A real treat of a place. Top notch natural bedding too.

We had a fantastic stay here in this beautiful hotel. The staff were extremely kind and helpful, without exception, going above and beyond to make our stay special. Breakfasts were delicious with many pastries, fruits, eggs etc (although perhaps some vegetarian meats would be a nice addition). We also both had amazing massages at the spa. The area is nice with a lovely beach in walking distance and some nice restaurants and bars. It is only around a 10 minute taxi journey from Albufeira old town...

This is our 2nd stay at Balaia and it's just perfect ! The grounds are beautifully maintained and everywhere is spotless. The pools are lovely and clean and there are plenty of sunbeds. Staff on arrival are helpful and if you've sent any specific requirements beforehand, they do their utmost to help you. There are couple of nice restaurants around the area, all very good value for money. I would recommend this if you want a quiet relaxing holiday in a gorgeous location. We don't golf but...

Close to beach with excellent restaurant, 5 min walk to strip, 5 min taxi to old town Shared pool area was cramped but ok

I enjoyed my stay at Kiss Apartamentos. The three things I look for in a hotel room are: is it clean, the room was clean. Does everything work, thankfully everything worked - the kettle, the fridge, the cooker etc and is it safe, as a solo female I felt safe staying there. Also Carla is very friendly and helpful

Excellent location, room was cute and very clean.

I visited on my first ever solo holiday so was quite apprehensive given some of the negative reviews. The hotel, staff and location are fantastic. I was booked in bed and breakfast and the buffet breakfast set me up for the day, no need for lunch later. The hotel is very relaxed and only a few minutes walk from beach and town. The accommodation is good but location is quite far from shops, beach etc to walk so car or taxi needed but overall this was a nice place to stay. The pool was nice , wi fi is available ( shared with next door café so not reliable throughout the rooms) and TV channels only show Portugese TV. Extra charges for cleaning and early check in were not welcome. Staff are very nice.
