Relais apartment - outstanding location & value

Posted 23-Dec-2015
I had a superb experience from start to finish! Originally due to stay at Villa and then offered opportunity to stay instead in apartment. Elisa was extremely helpful and informative, sending information to help me find my way and waiting until after check in time due to travel issues to get me into apartment safely. Apartment well placed to get to transport and also piazza. Would definitely recommend and hope to return myself for much longer period based on value for money, location and outstanding service!

Toppen hotell

Hotellet, rumet, frukosten, läget & personalen allt i absolut toppskick. Har sällan varit så nöjd med ett hotell i denna prisklass.

Very elegant place to stay!!!

Posted 25-Oct-2015
Location: The villa is a 5 minute walk to the downtown area, but still in a very local feeling residential neighborhood.
We only spent a night in Villa Angiolina due to our busy schedule, but it was probably the most pleasing stay we had in the whole tour of Italy. The city and the hotel is already making us plan for another trip with a longer stay in Sorrento.

Lovely and peaceful B&B - with a gorgeous garden

Posted 18-Oct-2015
Pros: It was a beautiful and peaceful stay, where we felt safe, happy and well looked after.
Location: We enjoyed walks into town - daily staring at the sea and Vesuvius in the background. Lots of lovely restaurants, wonderful selection of wine.
We spent a week here, it was our honeymoon...and I am so pleased with our choice of hotel. Beautifully tucked away from town, but easy reach to the centre and the sea. It was absolutely perfect. All staff were really helpful and welcoming. Our room was lovely and always clean - our bed was extremely comfortable. It was so peaceful there at night, we both really appreciated the gentleness of this place. We loved sitting in their beautiful garden at breakfast - loved the choice of options each morning. We even had our own little balcony with a table and chairs - it was lovely to sit outside in the evenings. Very sad to be back home after a week of loveliness there. Thank you so much for everything.

Great location for central Sorrento.

Posted 03-Oct-2015
Pros: Location, size, helpfulness of staff
Cons: Signage to the hotel was good until the very end where it was most needed.
Location: Short walk to the historic center. Lots of restaurants and shops within a short walk.
This was a delightful hotel. Small but very well situated to the city center. Somewhat hard to find as it was tucked into a narrow side street. Parking is available for a fee but one has to check into the hotel to get the details. Staff was very helpful. We re-confirmed our reservation based on some recent reviews. Room Marguerita was spacious. Breakfast was served either inside or outside in a covered garden area.

Great hotel tucked away for a relaxing stay

Posted 28-Sep-2015
This is a really nice hotel tucked a little bit away from the main part of Sorrento old town. The owners are extremely friendly and helpful. It was a great spot that I'd stay at again in the future.

Good Place in Difficult Town

Posted 22-Sep-2015
Excellent hotel, but hard to find. Do NOT try to use Sorrento as a base by car. Immense time wasted because of the traffic, both going into town and getting out (e.g. 45 minutes to go 4 km). For travelers using only the train, the town would be better; and the hotel is not far from the station. Except for the old part of town near the ocean, Sorrento is very ugly, crowded, and traffic-ridden. Of course, the general area is gorgeous, but it is overpopulated by buses, cars, and people. The Relais is well run and friendly, with good facilities and a sheltered feel. Overall, I recommend the hotel highly, but I was disappointed in Sorrento. Positano is easier to negotiate and more beautiful. I don't know what 0-star quality is. But I think the Relais is very good for its price.

Lovely hotel close to city centre

Posted 19-Sep-2015
Had a really good stay at Villa Angiolina very close to the centre of town, shops and restaurants all within easy walking distance. Very good breakfast every day until 10.30. Car park was quite expensive equal to £11 a day.
