Nice hotel in the center of Rheinfelden, great location by the river with places to eat close by, and close to train station
Sehr modernes Hotel, sehr freundliche Rezeption in der obersten Etage eines Einkaufszentrum mitten in der Stadt. Kostenlose Parkmöglichkeiten in unmittelbarer Nähe.
Very pleasant comfortable hotel
Great as always. Great staff.
750 years old building, recently renovated and made a hotel. Great view, free parking. Prepare to carry your luggage’s thru stairs at the entrance. My room (single) was quite small. No nearby places within walking distance. Many areas are kept as original so wood floors in hallway are noisy.
The property is under construction, the entrance was hard to carry the luggages and parking . No TV and not amenities.
The room was ok and reason to stay in this hotel was, not far from Basel. The main issues were following: There is no Airconditioning and the rooms are because of this really warm, even at our stay it was not warm at all (18 degree and it was raining). 2nd issue is the cleanless of the bath room. ...
No visit to Basel would be complete without experiencing one of Switzerland’s most wonderful pastimes – taking a trip to a thermal spa. For centuries people have flocked to take the waters at natural springs, and Sole Uno near Basel is a very modern take on the tradition. The complex’s full title is Sole Uno Wellness World and the name really does say it all. It’s a huge facility offering every kind of relaxation you can imagine from pools and saunas to beauty treatments and wellness rituals.
Sole Uno Wellness World is easy to get to from any of the wide range of hotels in Basel thanks to the area’s great transport links. Sole Uno lies about 15 miles (25km) to the east of the city centre in the Swiss part of Rheinfelden, just south of the border with Germany. Trains from the main station in Basel head towards Rheinfelden every 10 to 12 minutes and take under 20 minutes. It’s then a few minutes by bus or taxi to the Sole Uno complex. Or if you fancy staying at a hotel near Sole Uno, there are also several accommodation options in Rheinfelden itself.
Sole Uno doesn’t just call itself Wellness World because of its size. It’s also because the centre offers spa experiences from all over the globe, from the intense salt water sensations of the Dead Sea to the authentic Finnish and Siberian saunas. There are also bubbling outdoor pools and a fire-and-ice experience combining tropical rainforest and alpine waterfall effects.
Sometimes visitors to Sole Uno like to simply kick back and soak up the rays with a spot of tranquil sunbathing in the fresh air of the surrounding parkland. Or there’s the option to book a specific treatment from relaxing pamper sessions to the unique two-hour birch ritual. There really is something to suit everyone at Sole Uno, and it’s all within easy reach of your Basel hotel.
