Set right by Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski”, this is one of Sofia’s most iconic and lively central areas — where grand early-20th-century architecture, student energy, and everyday local life all mix together. Even though you’re in the city centre, the neighbourhood feels surprisingly balanced. Within a short walk you’ve got calmer spots like the National Library, the Botanic Garden, and the start of Borisova Gradina — perfect for a morning walk, a coffee break, or a little escape into greenery. Culture is everywhere here. You’re close to landmarks like Alexander Nevsky Cathedral, the National Gallery, and the Bulgarian National Theatre, plus plenty of exhibitions and events throughout the year. Food-wise, it’s easy.
