"I love this place and I’ve been here many times over the last 40 years and it’s aged pretty well. The hot tub could’ve been fuller, but I understand it was just clean that day. I did notice that the water temperature in the room took a very long time to get hot, especially in the bathroom sink. Other than that, I would totally stay again. You can’t find friendlier people than lava Hot Springs."

"The room was nice . The staff was very friendly and helpful. Access to restaurants, pool, and hot pots was within walking distance. The only we didn't like was instead of 2 beds there could have been a sofa sleeper. this provided sitting space. We did enjoy our trip."

"Older motel that was clean. Beautiful surroundings with campground, with lots of grass trees and the Portneif River running through it. Missing Kleenex box and towel bar in bathroom. Staff very friendly. "

The breakfast was delicious - homemade quiche and bearclaws and turnovers. The coffee is excellent too. You can't go wrong. Treat yourself to a stay at the Riverside. "
