The grounds are immaculate—no stray leaf, perfectly raked sand, and a maintenance team that deserves awards. The food is incredible. Every meal is fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared, from warm breakfast breads and omelettes to the tuna steak buffet with endless sides—poke, cheeses, yogurts, jams, desserts, and yes, fresh avocado with every meal. The staff is genuinely friendly, always greeting you with a smile and ready to help. Facilities are spotless, with bathrooms and water stations everywhere, offering cold water and fresh juices. Check‑in felt luxurious with scented towels, juice, and a warm welcome. The scenery is breathtaking—not only the crystal lagoons full of fish, but the lush, terraced gardens throughout the resort. Even garden‑view cabanas feel serene and picturesque, with countless peaceful spots to relax. The coral beneath the bungalows was a highlight, attracting triggerfish, needlefish, puffers, parrotfish, stingrays, and our favorite, the colorful Picasso triggerfish. We spent a two-day layover here on the way to New Zealand, and without ever leaving the property, we felt like we had a lovely little Tahitian getaway! The “Lagoonarium” — a mini-lagoon with exotic fishes you could swim with! — was a childhood dream come true! I always wanted to jump into the fish ponds at resorts, and I was able to do that in this gorgeous pool with friendly fishes! They also have a sea turtle rescue program there, which was fascinating and moving. We took a scuba diving trip right from the property a few hours after arriving, and saw many fish, stingrays, eagle rays, a plane wreck and a boat wreck in the crystal-clear waters. What a low-effort way to have a spectacular experience! The food at The Lotus Restaurant was transcendent! Staff were friendly, professional, and attentive. I will recommend this hotel to everyone I know!
