"Property is about a five minute drive out by taxi (7 euros from Sparta to Mystras Palace, 9 euros from Mystras Palace to Sparta City Center). Grounds are very well maintained. Tons of easy to access parking. Breakfast buffet was truly five star worthy. Staff very helpful for packing breakfast, calling taxi, picking up bags, etc. Air conditioner in our room did not cool below 21* which is uncomfortable sleeping conditions. Greek state tax of 15 euros per day in a five star hotel adds up - be aware as you calculate your total trip cost."

"This place was a dream! It is very remote but still so close to everything. The views from everywhere are magical. The staff was all family and everyone was so kind and friendly. We loved Dimitrius and his wife and Papou!! The rooms are massive and so very comfortable. Even though it was late October, we took advantage of the pool and lounge area. So very beautiful!! We will absolutely stay here again. We miss it already!"

The Residences Kalamata

"Great base to see Kalamata. We just needed one night before returning a car to the airport next day and wanted peace of mind for airport proximity. Great location and enjoyed old town and walk to the marina through the old trains there :) Accommodation great and bonus having a balcony. Reasonable price for spacious clean room. There is building work that is loud when you are outside but this morning we did not even hear it start as the double glazing is really excellent; we didn’t use it but there’s also a nice interior courtyard that you can access with seats and artificial grass. Result all round and Efharisto Team Residences. Should add there’s a decent bakery attached that does a lovely coffee and great sandwiches/ cakes etc to take on your flight and avoid the crazy heightened UK prices!"

Everything about Euphoria feels thoughtfully designed to create a relaxing and memorable stay. It’s a truly special place where you can unwind and enjoy the natural beauty of Greece. We honestly cannot think of a single thing that disappointed us. Euphoria Retreat delivered a genuine five-star experience, and we would highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area. We would absolutely stay here again!"

Messinian Bay Hotel

"This is our preferred stay when visiting Kalamata - we've stayed here several times. Right on the water of the Messinean Gulf and a 10 minute drive from the historical centre of Kalamata. The hotel is spacious and spotlessly clean and the rooms and their balconies face directly out to the Bay. A delicious breakfast is served every morning on the vast patio overlooking the water and a wonderful way to start your day. The staff are wonderful and go out of their way to make sure their guests feel welcomed and valued. A lovely pool to relax by or step down for a swim in the water of the bay. I can highly recommend and can't wait to until we return again!"
