"We very much enjoyed our stay at the Toftegarden Guesthouse. Our entire party of 8 guests stayed in various accommodations at the resort. The lodging was clean, comfortable, functional, and nicely decorated. Our room included a kitchenette and a patio that opened out to the whole resort. The landscaping was very pleasing and well maintained. Amenities such as laundry, gym, and bike rentals were available. One of the things we enjoyed the most about the resort was the purchased breakfast and...

A dining area with a table set for four, a vase with flowers, and a view of the harbor through large windows.

Plesners Havnelejligheder

Skagen

8/10 Good

Skagen is very popular during summer and understandably so, but out of season too it can be enjoyable, yet cold to see the yellow houses, the sandy beaches and feel the fresh sea air. This apartment is extremely well located right in the town centre and with free parking right outside. Two big positives. It's clean and new, decorated in the Scandinavian minimalist style. Would happily choose this place to stay if I go again.

A buffet table with various food items and a potted basil plant.

Park Hotel

Frederikshavn

10/10 Excellent

A small family hotel full of charm and exceptional value. If you want a bit of old fashioned charm and warmth you will find it here. We were delighted with our stay and the helpfulness and warmth of welcome of the hosts who take time to make sure their guests are happy. Our room was very comfortable and the decor was thoughtful and warm. The breakfast room lounge area is an absolute delight as was the excellent buffet breakfast. Having been badly let down by our previous accommodation we...

Skagen Hotel

Østerby

10/10 Excellent

Lovely, cosy, spotless hotel in centre of Skagen. Rooms were very comfortable (we had 2nd floor rooms). Free parking to the rear. Breakfast was a particular highlight - the expected excellent range of bread and bread rolls as is usual in Denmark, as well as a varied, good quality and well-laid out selection of other hot and cold items. Limited reception hours but wasn’t an issue for us. Very relaxing in the low season, would highly recommend.

Skagen Strand Hotel Og Feriecenter

Skagen

10/10 Excellent

Wonderful location for exploring the Skagen peninsula. Local train runs every 30 mins. The hotel complex is simply delightful and definitely worth considering for your stay. The houses are simply perfect. Remember to shop before you arrive, especially if coming out of season as not all local restaurants stay open in quieter times. But Skagen and Lidl etc two stops away, or think ahead and shop before you come. Little hotel snack shop has milk and snacks and some meal prep items. Houses quiet,...
