It is an easy walk or very short drive into Sister Bay, where you can enjoy the beach, marina, restaurants, and shops. It is also an easy drive to Newport State Park, Ellison Bay, Bailey's Harbor, etc. In short, we were able to kayak, hike, see the Cana Island Lighthouse, visit the Ridges Sanctuary, etc. within only a 15-20 minute drive. Lovely! The home itself was great for a large group. We had 5 adults and 4 kids. The basement was a fun hangout spot, and the upstairs living/dining/kitchen area was as well. The beds were comfy and everything was clean an modern. There is also a very nice screened-in porch. The home is surrounded by trees, so that you feel private and secluded, even though you are close to town. The kitchen is fully stocked with pots, utensils, etc. but does not have olive oil or other basics other than salt/pepper. Overall, we would definitely stay here again.
