Authentic Zeeuws Dijkhuisje (near the beach!)

Huis Vogelenzang, our atmospheric historic fisherman house from 1866 is located in Sint-Annaland, on the beautiful island of Tholen. Within walking distance of the beach and the village. The house was recently (2019) restored to the requirements of this time, whereby the unique authentic character has been preserved or reduced as much as possible! From the kitchen in the lower house you have access to the sheltered sunny garden, with a view of the beautiful Standerdmolen, still in use!

Lovely stay in a wonderful Huisje!

We spent a lovely, relaxing 14 day holiday in this charming cottage in Zeeland. The house is perfectly equipped and tastefully renovated an it's location allows for multple activities, be it culturally in the cities nearby or in nature/by the sea. Highly recommendable!

tiny house!

A very tiny house with very steep steps inside. Last year we rentet also a 'dijkhuisje' in Zeeland and it was - similar to this one - very tiny, but overall a cozy one. And this time it was also tiny, tiny, tiny, but cozy. If you like these kind of houses, you are in the right place! Tholen is a very calm place, good to relax und to bicycle around, Sint Annaland is a very beautiful small village and worth a visit!

Anders als erhofft....

Wir waren etwas erstaunt darüber, dass in der Anzeige zwei Schlafzimmer und ein Whirlpool ausgeschrieben waren. Dies war nämlich nicht der Fall. Hinzu kamen die wirklich steilen und verwinkelten Treppen, die aus der Anzeige nicht hervorgingen. Einen Kleiderschrank suchten wir vergeblich also lebten wir aus unseren Koffern. Wir haben uns zwar eine schöne Zeit gemacht, aber würden diese Unterkunft nicht nochmal buchen.

Hat unsere Vorstellungen verfehlt

Wir waren überrascht, dass für uns wichtige Details in der Beschreibung nicht erwähnt werden. So fehlt ein Foto in den ersten Stock, auf welchem man sehen könnte, wie steil die Treppe ist! Sie ist weder geeignet für Menschen, die nicht so gut zu Fuß sind, noch für Menschen mit großen Füßen (40+). Außerdem suggeriert das Foto des zweiten Schlafzimmers, dass dieses einigermaßen groß ist. Hier kann man sich nur auf allen Vieren bewegen! Ansonsten ist das Haus nach dem Minimalprinzip ausgestattet, dies betrifft alle Räume. Dieser Minimalismus fällt nach zehn Nächten einfach negativ auf. Toll ist, dass man im Garten sitzen und die Ruhe genießen kann. Die Nähe zum Strand ist prima, auch ein Supermarkt in der Ortsmitte ist gut.

Gezellig huisje op wandelafstand van Sint Annaland bad. Prachtig verblijf gehad, gezellig weekend met verschillende prachtige wandelingen en fietstochten rond het De naam was niet verzonnen, elke ochtend was het wakker worden met op de achtergrond vogelzang. Aandachtspunt: douche was aan de lage kant voor een man >1,80. Het stoorde wel niet.

Sweet home - happy people

Wir hatten einen tollen Aufenthalt in einem entzückenden Haus. Es ist alt, charmant und wirklich sehr besonders. Nichts für bequeme Menschen, die alles geleckt vorfinden wollen. Nicht falsch verstehen! Es ist alles sehr sauber! Aber es krümelt doch hier und da mal etwas Putz und das Treppensteigen muss man können und mögen. Man bekommt, was man bucht! Und wenn man sich darauf einlässt wird man es nach wenigen Minuten vor Ort lieben und nach Abreise doch etwas vermissen. Vielen Dank also!!!

Entspannte Auszeit

Wir haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt. Schöne Lage um Ausflüge zu starten. An die steilen Treppen musste man sich erst mal gewöhnen. Waren auf den Bildern des Inserats auch leider nicht zu erkennen.

Gemütliches altes Haus

Das Haus entspricht den Bildern und ist geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Die Treppe im Flur ist sehr steil und man muss konzentriert sein beim Hoch - und Runtergehen.

Sehr rustikal und mit viel Charme. Zwei Schlafzimmer wie in der Anzeige beschrieben sind es allerdings nicht. Da erwarte ich mehr als eine Matratze auf dem Boden unter dem Dach.

Nettes Haus mit Charakter

Ein nettes Haus mit Charakter und guter Lage direkt am Deich, schönerAusgangspunkt für ausgedehnte Radtouren und Spaziergänge.. Supermarkt fußläufig. Mit Vorsicht zu genießen sind die Treppen im Haus (wahrscheinlich problematisch für ältere Menschen). Insgesamt haben wir hier erholsame Tage verbracht.

besonderes Häuschen mit Charakter

Ein echt uriges Häuschen mit Charakter. Liebevoll gestaltet, wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Ein wenig wie eintauchen in das Leben früher. Die Treppen sind wirklich nicht ohne und man sollte einigermaßen gut zu Fuß sein, aber wer die Beschreibung liest, weiss das ja :) Nettes Gärtchen und die Mühle nebenan ist ein toller Blickfang. Supermarkt in 300 m Entfernung, auch sehr praktisch. Wir kommen wieder !

Gemütliches kleines Häuschen

Wir haben uns in dem kleinen gemütlichen Häuschen sehr wohl gefühlt. Der Kontakt zum Vermieter war auch unheimlich nett. Er ist sehr bemüht und freundlich. Das Haus bietet 60qm auf dreiundhalb Etagen. Es ist alles da was man braucht um sich wohl zu fühlen. Wohnraum und Schlafzimmer sind liebevoll und stilvoll restauriert und eingerichtet. Das Bad war überraschend geräumig, was man auf den Fotos gar nicht erkennen kann. Es waren jede Menge Handtücher vorhanden. Außerdem hat der Vermieter zu den Küchenhandtüchern Handdesinfektionsmittel und Desinfektionsspray beritgestellt. Das fand ich sehr aufmerksam. Von der Küche aus gelangt man in ein schmales Gärtchen. Da ist ein Schuppen mit Fahrräder, die man nutzen kann. Außerdem ist ein kleiner Gartentisch mit Stühlen vorhanden. Den haben wir unheimlich gerne genutzt um auch mal draußen zu essen. Es gibt zwei Gründe warum ich nicht mit 5 Sternen bewertet habe. Der erste Grund ist die steile, schmale Treppe bzw. die Stiege zur Küche. Das müsste man meiner Meinung nach erwähnen. Für ältere oder sehr korpulente Menschen ist es wirklich zu gefährlich. Der 2.Grund ist der Küchenboden. Die Küche ist bestückt mit alten Möbelstücken und einem alten Waschtisch. Hat mir gut gefallen und war sehr urig. Der Bodenbelag war ein alter roter Teppichboden. Der hat mich etwas gestört da er weder "appetitlich" aussah noch hygienisch ist. Ich hoffe der Vermieter wird dort noch Holzdielen oder Fliesen legen. Trotzdem, mein Fazit ist im ganzen sehr positiv.

Kleinod mit Liebe zum Detail

Das kleine Haus "Vogelsang" ist liebevoll renoviert und bietet 2-3 Personen, die vertraut miteinander sind, eine enspannte Atmosphäre. Durch steile Treppen gelangt man von einem Zimmer ins andere, eine z.T. skurrile Aufteilung der Räume gibt dem Haus die besondere Note. An die Küche im Souterrain (die noch einen neuen Fußboden gebrauchen könnte) schließt sich ein kleiner Garten mit Blick auf die Mühle an, in dem wir oft gesessen haben. Dort finden auch die Fahrräder Platz. Freundlicher Kontakt mit dem Vermieter.
