William our host was the best and we were made to feel welcome straight away. All the staff were lovely and notbing was a bother. We were upgraded for our last 2 nights which was a lovely gesture. This hotel is about a 30 minute iwalk into town which is ok eventhough there are plenty of tuk tuks near the hotel. After 5pm this hotel offers free tuk tuk into town. We would definitely stay here again

Staff is great and very, very helpful. Room is spacious and very comfortable. Restaurant is very good, prices are fair but we found a too short list menu. The location is not close for a city walk/dinner/ any kind of actions and you have to take a tuktuk to go at night market or to any mart if you need things. But tuktuks are cheap (2$) so we do not complain as the hotel is quiet. Popular Residence is a good choice in Siem Reap.

The staff are lovely at this hotel, however it is very basic and in need of refurbishment. Also tuktuk drivers may not know where this hotel is so you need to clarify with them. My booking was to include airport tuktuk on arrival and departure but they only provided on arrival. Also no welcome/departure gift. We didn't use the spa services as they actually dont have a spa onsite as such, they either send you to there recommended spa locally or they can come out to the hotel but you need to give them an 1hrs notice. Breakfast was very basic. They have alot of staff standing around not doing much and as english is there second language it can take awhile to be understood. Overall I wouldn't stay here again, there are so many places to stay in Siem Reap.

Close to home but they will do all for you
This is close to where we live in a local village. A treat to retreat with the friendly and professional staff there. The sitting area near the pool is good to while away some hours with a good book. Breakfast and restaurant menu for other meals for freshly cooked and prepared and tasted really good can recommend. They looked after us as if we were the only customers but they did have other customers as well.

The best thing about this place are the staff who make your stay very enjoyable and hospitable. The hotel has beautiful gardens and at night it is a pleasure to hear birds and animals and not traffic noise. The location is also very good and we were able to walk into town easily - it takes about 30 minutes to the Old Market and busy city life. The breakfast is ok- as vegetarians we didn’t go hungry and the staff were very accommodating with our requests. We used the shuttle service to and from the airport via tuk tuk ( from the airport it is free). The staff are all wonderful, very polite and helpful, and make up for any shortcomings in the facilities.

I received the best hotel service I have had so far. I have never written any online reviews but I thought the staff members in this hotel were so professional and friendly I felt it would be wrong for me not to compliment them. As soon as I arrived, I was greeted with a cold towel, a cold drink and some chips. Check in was so easy. I just had to relax while the staff handled everything. When I wanted to go anywhere, a staff member would accompany me and talk to the tuk-tuk driver to make sure I got to the right place. Hotel service was provided promptly whenever I asked. I travelled solo this time but when I bring my family to Siem Riep, I will definitely be staying in the same hotel. I highly recommend it to everyone.

The service was fantastic. We were greeted by name whenever we interacted with staff. The extras like reception tea and cooling towels upon every return to hotel were amazing. They arranged a boxed breakfast for our sunrise tour of Angkor Wat and free tuk-tuk rides to the market and Pub Street. The spa services were divine after a long day.

We loved this hotel. It was an older building with minor maintenance issues, but the staff were exceptional. They took such good care of us that I teared up when I left. I have never been treated better at any other hotel. We also were given a knowledgeable guide and kind driver to show us around.

This is a very nice small hotel with excellent service. There wasnt even one member of the entire staff that we could fault. We didn’t feel well for a few days so spent a lot of time in our room and around the pool and they were there to get us anything we need. Absolutely amazing staff. Rooms were nice and pool area very pleasant.

Nice hotel. Close. To pub street and old market- night market. Great people. My suggestion to hotel would be to do upgrade doors and locks and counter space and bath room. Shower floors.

Quiet hotel with excellent staff
Very enjoyable experience due to the warmth of the staff. Free tuk tuk rides to pub street was great. However getting out of the hotel after 10pm can be a challenge as no more tuk tuk standby to take you to pub street.

Popular Residence Hotel has the best service out of anywhere that I have ever stayed in the world! Most hotels could definately learn a thing or two about customer service from the staff here. We cannot fault them on anything. Our room was amazing - clean and modern with a beautiful view. We are in a very idealic location. Amazing customer service
I never write reviews but I really want to thank Popular Residence for there exceptional Customer Service they provided( probably the best customer service I’ve had). The staff were very friendly and always had a smile on there face. Our flight arrived really early in the morning way before check in time and they had someone waiting to pick us up once we landed at the airport and had our room ready. They provided a welcome drink/snacks upon arriving to the hotel and the set up was beautiful. Our check out time was 2pm but our flight wasnt until 7 pm so they let us stay an extra 3 hrs and provided airport drop off all at no cost. They also provide free tuk tuks to the market and pub street.The staff really go out of there way to make your stay great and to top it all off they gave us a cambodian scarf as a good bye gift to remember out stay. I definitely recommend this hotel and will be booking this hotel again in the future.

This is one of the greatest hotel I have stayed in. The hotel is not very big, but the hospitality from the staff and the service they provided are better than a lot of expensive luxury hotels I have been to. Our experience at the hotel became one of the reasons that we do not want to leave Siem Reap. And we really appreciate the small gift at the end!! Thank you so much~~

I have booked 3 room for 3 nights. Hotel was very clean and amazing.Well managed hotel. Staff was very helpful and friendly.Our suggestion is to have buffet breakfast would be better. Overall our stay was pleasant.

Wonderful staff very accommodating
Slightly out of town, but free tuk tuk is provided into town so that is never an issue. Hotel also provides free airport pickup and return. Staff are absolutely lovely and go out of their way to help. Would stay again

The staff are Fabulous, helpful, smiling all time.
As you arrive and enter the Hotel, you're so warmly greeted, just like anytime you return to the Hotel from shopping/tours... The Reception Ladies are super welcoming and even help you with heavy bags if no man isn't around, and that's rare. They serve you cold water and a cold wet nice towel every time you enter the Hotel. The bathroom and toilet are huge, around 2 m by 4.5 m, & you can sleep in the big Tub. Rooms also are very big and spacious, not to forget the gym, the pool and fish aquarium added to very clean settings. It's located in a very calm area, just 10 minutes from pub street. The restaurant is elegant in food and staff, but the food portions were small for my big stomach. With Expedia's great deals, never hesitate to try Popular Residence Hotel...

Very warm welcoming, nice staffs, big rooms. Free took took ride to pub street and free pickup and transfer to the airport. Rooms are basic but great. The only disadvantage was the location a little bit far from the center but you can come back to the hotel with 2$ took took .

Excellent boutique style hotel with only 26 rooms in a unique setting 5 minutes from the old market. Likely the best hotel value in town.

Best experience ever
I've very thankful to all the staffs for the amazing stay I've had so far. The rooms are exceptionally clean and very big too with fast wifi, I stayed for about four days and came back two days ago. They have a spa, gym and swimming pool which I was very lazy to use but very convenient for those who actually use them. And also I had an unexpected birthday celebration by the hotel staffs and a cake which I didn't see it coming at all because it was still 2 days earlier. Though a little bit far from the night market or the tourists spot, they do have tuk tuk within their hotel compound and I think that's a lot safer than hiring tuk tuk drivers outside, I guess. Overall, I feel like Siem Reap is a safe place to go but I don't know. I feel safer going with tuk tuk from the hotel. They also provide free transport to and from the airport for customers.

We really love the place: the vibe, the staff, the comfort. The rooms are quite spacious, including the bathrooms. The staff is exceptionally friendly. The only glitch for me is that some things inside the room may be a bit faulty or not working properly but these are not deal breakers for us.

Nice hotel a short ride from town
Great stay at the Popular Residence. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Room was clean and very spacious, so you aren't confined to either the bed or bathroom. Bed was comfortable and everything else was in working order. Nice pool area, small restaurant and a very basic gym. Couple minor complaints: shower could use more cleaning as there was some mildew and breakfast was average at best and dependent on timing as multiple items had been depleted/not refilled if you show up later. One other important note: the hotel is located beyond walking distance from the main downtown/night market/pub street area. The hotel provides free tuk tuk service from the hotel to town as well as to/from airport or bust station (you're on your own for return trips from town at ~2$ a ride). The upside is it's nice and quiet for sleeping but if you like to be within walking distance of places to eat/drink/shop this probably isn't the place for you. Overall we had a great stay here and the staff were excellent.
