Travel cot and highchair. Welcome pack. Enclosed, lawned garden with terrace, garden furniture and BBQ. Private parking for 3 cars. Bike store. No smoking.. This wonderful holiday property is idyllically situated on the edge of the pretty village of Sidbury, with timeless views across the meadows to the village church and towards the surrounding hills. Standing detached, The Old Piggery is a luxury conversion with its own private drive, large sunny terrace and lawned area. It is set in a protected Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, a few minutes’ walk to the local pub, village shop and adjacent to the East Devon Way footpath. It is a peaceful holiday retreat to relax and unwind in whilst also being a great base from which to explore.



    Close to the picturesque seaside town of Sidmouth, on the World Heritage Jurassic Coastline, there are a variety of beaches, independent shops, and access to the South West Coastal Footpath. Local amenities and activities include golf, fishing, paddle boarding, kayaking, tennis and riverside walks. The charming nearby fishing villages of Beer, Branscombe and Budleigh Salterton are all worth visiting. For children, great days out can be had at Crealy Adventure Park, Bicton Botanical Gardens, the Donkey Sanctuary, fossil hunting at Lyme Regis, Seaton Tramway and Seaton Jurassic. Local nature reserves including the Seaton Marshes for birdwatching are within close proximity. Slightly further afield is the historic town of Topsham on the River Exe and the city of Exeter with its imposing cathedral. Dartmoor National Park, with its rugged natural beauty is approximately an hour’s drive away. Beach 2 miles. Supermarket 2 miles. Village shop and pub ¼ mile.

Fantastic holiday

We had a wonderful time at the old piggery. We lived in luxury and had stunning views from all of the windows. The shower was brilliant and the underfloor heating made the property very comfortable.Cream tea was a lovely welcome. Sidmouth is a lovely area to visit.

very well kept and presented in a stunning location and the presence of bus stop 150m from the door (to Sidmouth or Honiton) was a bonus. I would recommend the Old Piggery to anyone wanting to explore Devon in general and east Devon in particular and the welcome given by the owners helped get the holiday off to a very good start.

Beautiful place everything you need, would be helpful if there were higher chairs to sit on im afraid when you get older you need comfort in chairs, just 2 ,there is every available kitchen utensil, lovely comfortable beds, lovely shower room, plenty parking, bus about 2 min walk and every hour fantastic service, you can relax outside with lovely wicker furniture, we had a brilliant time, scones and a cream tea on arrival, a wonderful place to unwind and enjoy and relax.

We had a wonderful stay it was a very nice place to stay we took my mother who is 87 and is very poo

We had a wonderful stay it was a very nice place to stay we took my mother who is 87 and is very poorly she liked that she could look out of the big windows at the views, an sit on sofa and talk to us when prepareing food. The cream tea was nice to find when we arrived. We hope to come again and bring my sister who was unable to come with us this time. The piggery was one of the best places we have stayed in very comfortable just like home. Thank you
