Perfect Weekend Spot

This was the perfect spot to get away for a weekend at the waterpark! Quiet and beautiful! Super close to the waterpark!! Everything included for anything you might want/need to do (cooking, laundry, hanging outside, etc) (only downfall was the cat food attracted so many flies and it was hard to keep them away) Would definitely stay here again!

Great stay

Great stay in this very clean, updated farmhouse. The kitchen was perfect for preparing a large meal. Our family especially enjoyed sitting on the porch, playing corn hole and fishing in the pond. Highly recommend as part of a Splashway trip.

Weekend getaway

Our family stayed at the Farmhouse for the weekend and it was awesome. Beautiful, clean, secluded property with excellent hosts. One of the most picturesque oak trees in the back was great for pictures. We will definitely be back.

GREAT weekend getaway!

The Farmhouse at Sandy Creek has all you and your family (or friends) need for a wonderfully relaxing getaway. The Schmidts have thought of everything you need at this beautiful and very clean home. We will be back!

Place was great

Great place. Big enough for whole family with play spaces for kids. Smore station was a great surprise. All the games really made it enjoyable. Get the insurance. Really close to splashway and columbus. Lots of stickers if you take dogs. Fun to listen to bull frogs sitting around the fire.

Annual Christmas Family Trio

We loved the house and the property. The house was clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed. We loved the quiet, relaxing property where we enjoyed the fire pit, beautiful trees, and pond. We also appreciated the owners responding promptly and being so helpful and welcoming. It was a great place for us to getaway and relax!

Nice Country Views

We loved the Farmhouse! It was perfect for our running group to prepare for the Shiner half marathon and to celebrate our accomplishments afterwards. The space was just right. We really enjoyed relaxing by the fire pit and roasting marshmallows! It was a fun weekend!

We spent the weekend in Sheridan after a waterpark trip for a birthday get together. The hosts do a great job at responding in a quick manner! Location is quiet & private but definitely big enough for our family & friends (10 people). We loved the outside area & the big kitchen. Enjoyed every minute (:

Weekend getaway

We had an amazing family weekend getaway at this ranch! The setting was perfect for a relaxing weekend, with beautiful scenery and plenty of space for the kids to run around. We enjoyed fishing by the pond, spending quality time together, and just unwinding from the daily hustle. The accommodations were comfortable and well-equipped, making it easy to relax and enjoy our stay. Highly recommend this spot for a peaceful and memorable family escape! Excellent Quiet Place

The Sheridan was a great home base for our duck hunting trip. We had 5 adults, both men and women. We spent a lot of our time outside enjoying the grounds and the serenity of the wooded setting. It is a really nice place that has been recently renovated with all the items that you would need.

Fantastic Property

We rented this property because of the proximity to Splashway but we would rent it again for the peaceful relaxation and comfort. The kids loved it for the fishing and the upstairs. The adults loved it because it has all the comforts of home, it definitely felt like a home away from home. The property owners were very responsive when I asked a question. We have nothing but positive feedback from our stay.

After Christmas Getaway

Great house & beautiful property! Good location with tons of things to do with young kids, indoors and outdoors. There is plenty for the adults to enjoy as well. The house is clean & comfortable. The kitchen is very well equipped. The owner was quick to respond and very helpful. Our family unanimously agreed to return in the summer and try out the nearby waterpark!

Perfect family get away!

We had a great stay here. The host accommodated to our needs and were very responsive. The pond made for a great way to pass time and catch fish. We caught several small large mouth bass and multiple perch. Great for all ages of fishing. The house was very clean and had everything we needed. Beautiful views and nice night skies. We will stay here more times to come! We have nothing negative to say about this home!

Splashway Gettaway

What an amazing place! We loved every minute of staying here. We arrived Friday and spent the evening fishing in the pond and grilling. Saturday we enjoyed a day at Splashway Water park which was less than 5 min away. When we got back we spent the evening fishing, eating dinner and making s’mores. Sunday we went to Splashway campsite for putt putt and ice cream, then relaxed by fishing, kids doing rope course, seeing horses across the way and taking in the country serenity. If you are looking for a place to stay near Splashway or a unique country place to go to with family, friends or couples get away, I would recommended this place. You won’t want to leave. My kids cried today when we left. So what else is there to do… book this house on the country and enjoy for less than 2 hours from Houston!

Perfect getaway for family

Loved this place! Great place to stay for a family getaway. Our young girls loved playing with the friendly kitty, the swing, the ropes course and fishing in the pond. It's also really close to the water park. The whole family enjoyed our stay here.

Absolutely gorgeous inside and out! Relaxing yard with a pond, grill, outdoor games, fire pit, lovely porch and beautiful trees! Everything was extremely clean and the kitchen is fully stocked. Highly recommend!!

Great get away!

This place was perfect for an opportunity to unplug, relax in a country setting and feel at home in a beautifully renovated 1919 farmhouse. The owners added so many extra touches to make our stay more enjoyable. Thank you!!!
