Converted 1894 Historic Hotel, Downtown, Coyote Suite, CITY APPROVED

We are a seasonal, pet free, vacation rental property, located in the converted Historic Capitol Hotel Building.
We have converted the historic hotel rooms into spacious vacation rentals. Our rentals are located on the upper floor with NO LIFT.
We cater to travelers from all over the world from May -October. We are located on Main Street in the heart of the downtown historic district of Buffalo Wyoming.

The Coyote Suite has been converted from 4 of the original hotel rooms and has a lovely open floor plan. Walking into the Coyote Suite you will find yourself in the kitchen, to the right takes you into the bathroom/ laundry room, to the left would take you into the living room and then into the bedroom. The bedroom in the Coyote suite has a King bed, central air conditioning, closet, vanity, mirror and flat screen television. The living room has an open floor concept with a sofa bed, cable television and WiFi. There is a handmade wood carved bar type counter dividing the living area and kitchen. There are stools at the counter for dining or viewing the morning news. The bathroom in this suite is huge! We have a walk in shower, toilet, sink, vanity and mirror. Soft towels and toiletries are provided, you will also find a washing machine, clothes dryer, iron and ironing board in this area. Our kitchen is equipped with a stove, oven, refrigerator, air fryer, microwave, coffee and tea kettle. All your cooking necessities are tucked in the cabinets.
Coffee, tea, hot chocolate, breakfast bars and Italian homemade baked goods are replenished daily.

Our walls are warped and our floors are slanted. We restored her history and bought in most of todays comforts like running water, electric, heat and air conditioning. Walk the floors the cowboys did over 100 years ago while you check out the" secret back staircase" that allowed the "ladies of the night" access to the second floor brothel.
Our location can't be beat, We are located among the downtown dinning and shopping district. Crazy women square for city events is located across the street and George Washing Park is located one block behind us. The George Washing Park is home to Wyoming's largest swimming pool, tennis courts, playground and walking paths.

Get the real old west feel while staying in cowboy country. Check out the back staircase that was built for the “ Ladies of the night” to use while hiding from the “ decent folk” on Main Street. Walk the same floors many cowboys did, we renovated around the original 100 year old toilet “ water Closet ” . Today, it still sits at the rear of the hallway! >Take a step back in time in one of Buffalo’s oldest downtown buildings. You will not find an elevator here, therefore you must be able to walk the 26 steps to the second floor, as the cowboys did over 100 years ago.

With a few buildings separating us from restaurants and pubs, a quiet evening awaits you in The Historic Capitol Hotel Suites.

Hi, We are a fairly, young, retired couple, living our dream, in beautiful Buffalo Wyoming. I started hosted travelers in our renovated Historic Capitol Hotel building in 2010. Now with our newest Creekside property, my husband will be joining me, welcoming folks from all over the world. We are a husband and wife team. We cater to you. If you need any assistance, it is my husband and I that will assist you. Our vacation rentals are seasonal, so we travel quite a bit in the off season. We understand what's important when you're away from home, clear communication, honesty in our listings and only real past guests reviews, cleanliness and WIFI, we promise to give you all of these. So please don't hesitate to reserve with us, we would be honored to be part of your vacation memories.

Musty
Long flight of stairs..... the air conditioning wasnt even turned on, so this old building that had a musty smell like an old library, smelled even worse. The smell was just horrible and i could smell it in my clothes. Needs fresh paint and an upgrage. I dont want to see an antique side bed toilet on display in the bathroom....

Coyote Suite
The Coyote Suite worked perfectly for my our family visit to Buffalo. The location was right on Main, allowed us to pop into town and walk around, and it's conveniently located to a local park with nature trails to explore. Cindy was very hospitable and checked in regularly to see if we needed anything. It was a great little place to be.

Very spacious and comfortable. Very nice to have washer and dryer available. Owner had everything we needed in place. It was a nice surprise to have snacks and treats available. It was stated in the description that the sweet was a walk-up but be aware that it is a very steep staircase.

Great Bighorn & Cloud Peak Basecamp
Wow! This was a unique, clean, comfortable and well accommodated location for my wife and I to use as a basecamp for hiking and backpacking in the Bighorn National Forest and the Cloud Peak Wilderness Area. It's essential four original hotel rooms connected to make a single living space. The kitchen is well stocked with all the necessities and more (e.g., panini press, air fryer...). The spacious laundry/bathroom was great for us to throw a load of dusty hiking clothes in wash before going to bed so we didn't have so much laundry to do when we got home. The bed was very comfortable. I loved the old wooden floors. I'm not sure if we ever had neighbors because the rooms were so quiet. Cynthia and her husband were great hosts. We arrived to homemade rhubarb muffins, and later in the week, they brought over zucchini bread and oatmeal raisin cookies. When I went to use the gas grill, the tank was empty. I texted Cynthia and in less than 5 minutes it was replaced. We didn't pull out the couch, but there is plenty of room for 2 more in the space. Buffalo is a good starting point for a lot of the local trailheads. If you're not into hiking, the town has some unique little shops, including Sports Lure just downstairs that can equip you with pretty much any fishing, hunting, camping and hiking equipment. There are several nice restaurants in town (we unfortunately didn't try any) and a couple grocery stores if you want to cook your own like we did. We will definitely return!
