Excellent property great staff

This trip to the Moonrise was exquisite. One cannot beat its location--to Barnes, the zoo, the Pagaent, Artisans in the Loop, Blueberry Hill, etc., and parking is free. The staff is genuine and friendly without feeling phony. The place has a boutique, funky vibe with a lunar theme and interesting kitsch. The rooftop bar offers an excellent view of the city, too. Finally, the bed was amazing--thick, expensive sheets and all. My fiancee and I loved our stay--the Moonrise has really stepped up its game. Many new shops/restaurants have brought vitality to the area. St. Louis is an underrated city in many ways--stay at the Moonrise and see why I say that.

The beds are super comfortable and the rooms are nicely laid out. However, for the price it is not worth it. You cannot get breakfast until 8 am, there is no shuttle service anywhere and no formal parking format. For the price you pay and the "resort fee" you would expect a valet or some sort of structured parking arrangement.
