"Good value (we only paid £50 for a double room). Good for a 1 night stay. Bathroom was nice and modern. No frills hotel for those on a budget. Bed was very firm (too firm for me). We brought our own pillows as I had read reviews before staying and knew they would only supply two pillows. I was also expecting the double bed to be against the wall and we used this to our advantage for watching tv, which was at a right-angle to the bed, by leaning against the side wall to watch it straight on. Not much interaction with staff who had trouble explaining the price of the pool table. Don’t expect anyone to ask how your stay was on the way out! "

"Tired hotel that was full of renovation works during my stay. Totally appreciate they are trying to fix this situation, but they didn’t warn me ahead that it would be so awful. Lobby was partly boarded up; the pool was completely closed. Room was old-fashioned and bland. Fine with all of this if they DROP the prices massively and explain the situation in advance. But of course, they did not. "
