First I want to say that I love that this hotel is not all modern and shiny. I love the lighthouse decor and the quilted, homey comforters. The views of the lake are great and it’s right on the Mariner’s Trail. All but one of the staff members that we met were great. That being said, I really wish the would do some “infrastructure” upgrades. First and foremost, new mattresses and/or at least, bed springs. Water saving toilets would also be a plus. In-room coffee makers that don’t pour coffee all over the place would also be great. I would also suggest that the front deck people have a knowledge of good Friday fish fry places, even if they don’t like fish.
