"Traveling to Uzbekistan for the first time by myself was both scary and challenging for me because I couldn’t speak Russian or the local language at all. When I got off the plane, I felt like I had entered a completely different world from the people walking past me. But as soon as the taxi brought me to Diamond Tashkent Hotel, I immediately felt that it was a safe place for me. The front desk staff, especially James, were professional and spoke excellent English. Even though Baxit couldn’t speak much English, he made a great effort to help, and that meant a lot. I was also touched by the kindness and attentiveness of the housekeeping team—especially LOLA, whose smile reminded me of a kind-hearted elder, and Ilvira. I’m deeply thankful to both of these hardworking housekeepers during my stay.
