It is functional and a bit charmless, though facilities are all ok. The interior could do with renovating, as it all looks dark and gloomy. The mattresses were rather hard and the breakfast buffet wasn't up to the standard of other hotels we've stayed in - no fresh fruit, margarine instead of butter, unpleasant coffee (there's a better quality in the machine in reception). The room was a good size and I had a lovely view of the mountains to the north. It's probably been a while since this hotel has been refurbished but the public areas were comfortable. There are a number of vending machines, an ice machine and you can get free hot drinks from a machine in the lobby. The staff were friendly and arranged the forwarding of my luggage with Yamato. Breakfast was a self service buffet with a reasonable selection of hot and cold dishes, including some pastries. It's the first time that I've stayed anywhere that has a machine that dispenses rice. I travelled by public transport and the hotel is very conveniently located opposite the train station and just round the corner from the bus station. On the corner opposite the hotel is a seicomart (Hokkaido chain of combini like 7Eleven and Lawsons). There were a lot of guests staying overnight, so the elevator itself was really slow and always packed. 2) My foods and drinks in the refrigerator were not cold at all.
