The villa includes 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, an open kitchen/ living room (sofa-bed in the living room for an additional 2 guests), a spacious terrace beyond the living room and a large terrace on the 2nd floor. The space: Lovely villa with pool and magnificent sea and coastal views, located in the historic and beautiful village of Chora Sfakion on the south coast of Chania. The villa includes 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, an open kitchen/ living room (sofa-bed in the living room for an additional 2 guests), a spacious terrace beyond the living room and a large terrace on the 2nd floor. The villa is built to high standards and offers all modern facilities. On the ground floor the entrance door leads to the living room and kitchen with dining area. From here, sliding doors lead to the spacious terrace / outdoor living area partially covered by a pergola under which the outdoor dining table and lounge is located. This terrace accesses the pool. The ground floor also includes a bedroom with access to the terrace, a bathroom and the staircase leading to the 2nd floor. The second floor includes 2 bedrooms and a bathroom. Both bedrooms access a large terrace. Both floors and all rooms have wonderful sea views and views to the coast, the village and the surrounding area. The property is completely enclosed and private, and a gate from the road leads to the parking space next to the house. The neighborhood: The villa is located on a hillside in a calm and quiet neighborhood of the village. The immediate properties are all houses along lovely countryside roads. Beds and baths: Ground floor: 1 bedroom with double bed size 180X200 that can be turned into 2 singles. 1 bathroom with bathtub. Sofa-bed in living room which sleeps 2 in separate single beds. First floor: 1 bedroom with 2 single beds size 90X200. 1 bedroom with extra large double bed size 200x220. 1 bathroom with bathtub and washing machine. Special attention has been given to the beds and mattresses ensuring restful sleep and relaxation. About the area: Chora Sfakion is one of the prettiest villages on Crete. Seeped in history, this quiet, coastal fishing village offers the perfect place for peace and relaxation. Far from the mass tourism often encountered on Crete’s northern coast, this is an area where you can explore Crete off the beaten track, or just spend your holiday unwinding and enjoying the crystal clear sea and the scenery. Lovely stone and whitewashed houses adorn the hillsides surrounding the old harbor, and along the seaside promenade there is a good selection of shops, restaurants with excellent food, and cafes. Chora Sfakion is the perfect starting point for exploring the beautiful south coast of Crete. The area has countless opportunities for hiking and exploring the stunning and awe-inspiring ravines and mountains. Sfakia is famous for its approximately 50 ravines, the most famous being Samaria, Imbros, and Aradena. From Sfakia one can glimpse the islands of Gavdos and Gavdopoula, 22 nautical miles south of Crete. Gavdos with its 50 inhabitants is a small, beautiful green island with unforgettable sandy beaches and views. You can reach Gavdos by ferry or by an organized boat trip. Everything was clean, new, essentially the beds are super comfortable. The house has a nice terrace overlooking the coastline. The main street is not far away, yet there was so fee traffic that you almost forget it is there. The pool has a decent size, but there are couple of calm bay beaches just 5 min away by car. The village is a short walk down the steep street, by car also just 4 min. Overall a great place for everyone who wants to dodge the crowded places of the north and send some time realxing. ##### Tobias G. The owner and his family are very friendly and helpful, the villa is new and modern. Location is 2,5 hours driving from Heraklion, but it takes you to beautiful spots in Crete. Super markets close by as well as many tavernas in the harbor. It is at walking distance but a steep climb. The area is less suitable if you are walking badly. Cleaning service can be arranged with owners, plenty of towels. Just some small remarks which are not negatives, but which you should consider before renting. Although the villa is suitable for 8, I think the optimal number is 6\. For a eight person villa the dish washer and washing machine is a little small. Not a big issue but should you know.
