Great location, the cabin is awesome. Truly a special place. Make sure and grab a bag of marshmallows, because relaxing by the fire pit on the lake beachfront, skipping stones with the kids is one of those memories that'll stick with ya. The cabin has all the comforts you could want, and its an easy drive to Seward, tons of great hiking trails, and some of the most beautiful sights
We loved this house! The distance from Seward was exactly what we were wanting. A bit secluded but not terribly far from town. The lake was beautiful amd we enjoyed reading the history of the home in the information book!
The log cabin was truly a delight. This is one of the best rental home experiences that we have ever had. The log home was beautiful, spotlessly clean, and incredibly comfortable. I cannot recommend this rental more, my only hesitation is that it will become so popular that I will not be able to book it again.
We booked our stay at the Glaser’s cabin about a year in advance; and the anticipation of our family’s first trip to Alaska was intense! We arrived and, quite frankly, did not ever want to leave. The location of the cabin was ideal. Even with road construction, it was only an extra 20 minutes into and out of Seward. Not really a big deal. The location on the lake was absolutely breathtaking. We loved skipping rocks, enjoying bonfires in the fire pit, exploring the Victor Creek river bed as it flows into Kenai Lake, taking naps on the grass in the sunshine… truly this place is idyllic. The beds were comfortable and the showers were hot. We made dinner several nights at the cabin; we loved the grill, and the kitchen had everything we needed. Our son had the best time waving to the train conductor each time it passed and he would toot the train horn hahaha!! So amazing. We can’t wait to be back. Thank you so much!
Our family (2 grandparents, 2 parents, and 2 kids) stayed here and enjoyed our time here. Out the back of this cabin is a short walk to the gorgeous, quiet Lake Kenai. There is a nice little beach area and fishing gear was provided- we didn't catch anything but spent a few pleasant hours trying and enjoying the view. A little farther walk away is a beautiful riverbed leading into the lake- wide open area with no one else there and we saw a bald eagle sitting on a fallen tree when we arrived; there is also a view of a mountain with a glacier- drop dead gorgeous place.
The house was very clean and well appointed. The twin bed is on the small downstairs landing outside 2 of the bedrooms and a bathroom so wouldn't work for someone easily disturbed- our 8 year old slept here and loved it though.
Just be aware that the nearest real grocery store is in Seward and with the current roadworks it can add a lot of time to what your GPS says. But, if you want a peaceful place with a gorgeous view and between Cooper Landing and Seward this is a good option.
The property itself was beautiful, and the view was amazing. The host was quick to respond with trip suggestions and to answer any questions we had. We had a great experience here.
We loved the privacy and beauty of this location. The daily train was a huge hit with our grandson. The lake and nearby trails were enjoyed by all and the house was nicely outfitted. Thank you for sharing your story and your lovely home with our family. It helped make this part of our vacation memorable.
We had a great stay. Perfect location and a beautiful home.

Absolutely wonderful place
What a joy to stay in this property! It fits the bill for a large group and is close to everything, including your own access to the lake and nearby trails. Would stay here again in a heartbeat.
Amazing cabin on the lake. Easy drive to Seward to eat, shop, and fish. Nice weather to hang out on the back patio. Cool to see the train pass by several time a day. Spent several day just hanging out down by the lake.

Beautiful Cabin, Great Location on the water, owner wonderful to work with
It was a pleasure staying at this cabin in the woods. It had everything we needed and the owners were great to work with. Easy access to Seward and right on the water.
The house is great. Many neat touches. Owners spent a lot of time and effort to make a nice home. Crossing the railroad tracks to get to lake added to the experience. Only item that makes us not give it a 10 rating is the stairs to the door from parking area. Suggestion would be a landing area to manage luggage and top stair needs to be leveled.

The house was amazing. It was super comfortable and absolutely beautiful.
We really enjoyed our stay. Marion took care of every request in a prompt manner. The house is gorgeous and having the lake right down a short path on the back of the house was perfect (breathtaking views). We couldn't have asked for a better experience!

Beautiful cabin in a perfect location. Lake was gorgeous & we enjoyed watching the train. Clean too
We rented 3 places during our stay in various towns in Alaska. This was by far our favorite. Highly recommend!! You won’t regret it. Thanks for sharing your beautiful home with us!
Absolutely perfect! I can’t rave enough about our stay. As soon as we pulled into the driveway, we fell in love with this cabin. It was cozy, yet spacious and wonderfully comfortable. The beautiful lake is only about 100 meter walk and the cabin was stocked with fishing poles. Marion and Jesse were quick to respond to messages and gave great tips on fishing (both at Kenia lake and in the area). The cabin is about a 20 minute drive from downtown Seward but it was worth staying a bit farther out…Stock up at Safeway and you won’t need to leave the cabin. There is a train that goes in between the property and the lake but it was actually fun to see it come by twice per day. This is hands down one of the best vacation rentals we’ve stayed at.
We had a wonderful stay at your property. Everything was immaculately kept. Everything we needed was at our fingertips. Thank you for opening your home to our family. Marion even had a pack and play and highchair which were extremely helpful!
