Just a short walk (under ½ mile!) to the stunning Lost Lake trailhead—a favorite for hikers and mountain bikers—you’ll be surrounded by tall trees and fresh mountain air. Though it feels like a retreat, you're only 4 miles from the harbor and 5 miles from downtown Seward. Our tiny house is a one-of-a-kind, cozy retreat designed for comfort and simplicity. Newly remodeled, it features a beautiful tile shower with a rainfall showerhead—bringing a touch of luxury to your stay in the woods. The bunk setup includes a full-size bed on the bottom and a twin on top, sleeping up to 3 guests. While we welcome small groups, the space is best enjoyed by 2 adults or 2 adults and a child for maximum comfort. The well-equipped kitchenette includes a stove, coffee maker, toaster oven, microwave, fridge/freezer, and all the basic cookware and utensils you’ll need for easy meals. We use a high-quality composting toilet that works much like a regular one—just with a small twist: everyone sits, every time. It’s clean, eco-friendly, and easy to use. A wall heater keeps the space warm and comfortable, no matter the season. Outside, you’ll find a private firepit, perfect for unwinding under the trees and enjoying quiet evenings by the flames. Also feel free to bring your pup - we are pet friendly! This cozy hideaway is the perfect base for your Alaskan adventure! It had all of the basic amenities for ‘glamping’ and nestled in a very quiet neighborhood. We enjoyed being able to relax and be away from the hustle and bustle for the holiday. It is close to lost lake trailhead and we were able to walk there to do some hiking as well. Close to Seward (3 miles) but away from populated areas, we enjoyed the privacy and remote feel. The hosts were responsive to our questions and requests. The top bunk bed can be difficult for older people to get up to but is great for younger adults and children. The composting toilet works well. My husband and I traveled down to Seward for a weekend getaway and found this adorable place to stay. It’s just outside of the city but SUPER easy to get back to all the shops. VERY quiet and well thought out. It has everything anyone would need. Nice shower, TV, three places to sleep and great views of the foliage. Overall, we would stay here again.
