For excellent views of Seville’s old Jewish quarter, known as Santa Cruz, Climb the steps of the Giralda bell tower. Make your way to the Triunfo Plaza which sits between iconic buildings, including the cathedral and the Real Alcázar. Shop for souvenirs, clothes and arts and crafts in the independent stores of Calle Sierpes and nearby streets. Among the many other highlights of a visit to the old quarter is the Casa de Murillo. This museum is dedicated to the 17th-century baroque painter Bartolomé Esteban Murillo and is housed in the mansion where he once lived. Reach Seville’s historical centre by bus, taxi, tram, metro or car. Street parking is limited at most times of the year so if you are driving, it’s easiest to pay for parking in garages inside and outside of the old quarter.
