We had a wonderful stay at Over the Mountain cabin! It was clean and had everything we needed. Amazing views and location! Close to Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. We've stayed in many Smokies cabins, and this one has one of the best, if not THE best, views of the mountains and sunrises. The cabin was quiet, comfortable, and clean. We liked the fact that the hot tub is enclosed in a screened porch, and we loved the upstairs screened porch - it was a great get-away area from the rest of the cabin. There was easy access for loading and unloading luggage (no steps to navigate). Although we were too busy hiking to use it, the game area is well-furnished. Another couple stayed with us for part of our time there, and it worked well having 4 of us in the cabin. Larry & Stacia were easy to contact and very welcoming and responsive. What a beautiful escape from the city. You are away from everything but also not far from everything. My family truly enjoyed our stay here. The kids loved the game room, everyone enjoyed the hot tub and our view was amazing! Lots of activities for the kids in the game loft. Love that there’s TV’s in every room too. WiFi was spotty bc it’s the mountains but that’s out of anyone’s control. The views from the home are gorgeous, and we loved the hot tub. The kids had a great time playing pool. We used both bedrooms and tried to use both pullout couches. The pullout couches were not comfortable, and in fact one couch frame was broken. Similar to what other reviews mentioned, the kitchen equipment is relatively basic so keep that in mind. Appliances and all plumbing worked well for the most part, though the coffee maker stopped working a few days into our stay. The owners replied to messages. We appreciated that departure was so simple with minimal requirements. ##### Gina J. The property was wonderful with amazing views and generally quiet. The roads up and down were narrow and single roads shared at times with two way traffic around corners which was a concern, but other than that its a beautiful drive twisting around with something beautiful to see around most corners.The Pigeon Forge area was close to everything we wanted to see which includes the smoky mountains and Gatlinburg area. There was no shortage of good places to eat and plenty of adventure type activities such as zip lines and mountain coasters. It was a a bit pricy similar to what you might expect in a Disney and Universal Studios type area would be in Orlando, but there are plenty of wonderful low cost or free things to do as well such as magnificent hikes and drives near and in the Smoky Mountains. Overall Id definitely do it again and the property owners and managers made it extremely easy and the property was as advertised. Id highly recommend others to use this property and we plan to explore their other propertyies in the future. ##### michael t. As we have been cabin renters in the Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg area for over 20 years doing summer rentals with grandkids and late October rentals for us we wanted a change to a quiet area. Went through hundreds of options but finally found Over the Mountain to be exactly what we were looking for to celebrate our 60th wedding anniversary . We love the Wears Valley area, Townsend and Cades Cove. The location gave us all while still within close proximity to restaurants and entertainment in Pigeon Forge. The cabin had a beautiful view and outside deck opportunity to view from many angles. The on line rental process website was professionally handled and relatively easy to manage for a non conversant media person like me. The host were excellent in assisting us in our planning and made our stay more rewarding. Our Over The Mountains cabin stay was a great, relaxing experience. ##### Stuart M. ---
