As a true mountain home surrounded by forest, the occasional outdoor visitor (ladybugs, harmless insects) may find their way inside, especially in fall. Regular pest control is maintained.
The short mountain drive up to the cabin is part of the experience - you'll know you've truly escaped when you leave the main road behind. The paved road has a few steep curves (drive slowly and enjoy the scenery). Sedans, minivans, and SUVs all make it up regularly. AWD recommended in icy or snowy conditions.
