WINE DOWN is one of those rare cabins that gives you an authentic, classy mountain experience--woods, hills, wildlife--yet you're only a few minutes from grocery stores, restaurants, shopping and attractions. You'll love the wooded setting with peaceful sounds of nature. From the top deck, lookout to the mountains in the distance. (The views are even better from mid-November to mid-April with the absence of leaves).
The screened porch is wonderful for 3 season enjoyment of the outdoors. Relax with coffee and breakfast on the deck in the morning. Then at night, flip on the string lights overhead and take a dip in the new hot tub. The calls of birds, tree frogs and crickets will provide nightly concerts.
Both bedrooms are on the upper floor. The first bedroom has a king bed and French doors that lead to the upper deck. The second bedroom has a queen bed and a bunk bed with a door to the bathroom. Both bedrooms have vaulted ceilings, ceiling fans, closets and TVs with Firesticks to stream your favorite shows. If you like to cycle, there's an exercise bike in the king bedroom too.
The living room is super comfortable for everyone: two recliners built in to the sofa plus an oversize recliner. Stream your favorite shows on TV. Or bring a DVD for the BluRay player. The gas fireplace is turned on from Oct 15-April 15.
Bring your provisions and enjoy relaxing meals at the cabin--indoor or out. The dining table next to a large window brings you views of nature. Or have BBQ on the screened porch. There's a gas grill right outside the porch so it's easy to tend the cooking. The kitchen is nicely equipped with quality cookware, bakeware and utensils. Whether you choose to dine out or make meals in, you'll have everything you need at WINE DOWN.
On the main floor just around the corner from the kitchen is the other bathroom with a standard tub-shower combo. Then across the way is the utility room featuring a full size washer and dryer.

Jen is the most helpful host and the cabin is secluded enough that you have privacy but still only a short drive to everything! Can’t wait to come back here!!
We absolutely loved this cabin in the Smokey Mountains!! It was a lovely and clean cabin and perfectly located close to all the attractions in Pigeon Forge. The host was wonderful and had great communication throughout our entire booking process and stay. Would definitely stay here again!
Our family of 5 enjoyed this serene mountain cabin, making good use of the amenities such as hot tub and firepit! Close to attractions but quiet in the woods for family bonding and relaxation! Jen welcomed our dog who LOVED it!
We loved our stay in Wine Down. It's a gorgeous location. We felt like we were staying in a tree house. The jacuzzi was so nice and relaxing! It was a great place to stay for visiting Dollywood, Soaky Mountain, and the alpine slides!!
We loved staying at this cabin. The cabin was very clean and comfortable and close to all attractions. We really enjoyed the fire pit. The views from the balcony and porch are breathtaking. Amy, our host, was so pleasant to work with. We would definitely stay here again!
We enjoyed our stay at Wine Down. The beds are super comfortable, the balconies are lovely. Our family really needed the getaway after hurricane Helene. Thanks much
This was our 2nd time staying at Wine Down and once again it did not disappoint. We love the cleanliness of the cabin and the location. You aren’t in all the hustle and bustle but you can be into it in minutes. The cabin feels much more remote than it actually is.
We enjoyed our stay at Wine Down. It was peaceful and relaxing. We had a great adventure in seeing a big mama bear and her 3 cubs right outside our big window. It was exciting. We will be back again.
We had a wonderful stay. Great location, close enough Pigeon Forge yet secluded in the woods for a true cabin feel. Cabin had everything we needed and was one of the cleanest locations we’ve stayed at. To top it all off communication with the host Amy was excellent. She was very welcoming and prompt with responses. We highly recommend and will book again in the future.
Clean, cozy, cute, and convenient describe this cabin! We enjoyed staying with Blue Mist. We are grandparents with our daughter’s family. It was lovely to all be comfortably in one place and have all the amenities of home. We enjoyed the ease the fireplace and roasting marshmallows in the fire pit outside. We would book here again!
Being familiar with VRBO, as my in-laws rent homes each year for a large family week, we decided to use the service for a spring break with the kids and dog. Wine Down was perfect. Exactly as described and for a rental that allows pets, it was very clean and everything was operating.
We were close to all the attractions in both Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. We would absolutely recommend Wine Down to families looking for a getaway.
I stayed at the cabin in August and wanted to return for the fall leaves. We had a nice relaxing time and enjoyed driving to Wears Valley, Townsend and Cades Cove. We are impressed with how clean the house is and all of the little amenities, whether we used them or not. The kitchen is very well equipped. We will return for another visit or two in 2024.
I could not have been more thrilled with our experience. The booking process was simple, great Communication and responsiveness with the owner. The home was so cute and very clean. It was the perfect size for our family of 5. The location was excellent. The icing on the cake was the hot tub. If you’re going to Pigeon Forge/Dolkywood, this is the perfect place to stay. I am absolutely over the moon with our experience.
This place is far enough out of town to get away from the traffic and noise but close enough that's it's less than 10 minutes away from pigeon forge. The driveway may be a little steep but the cabin is well worth it. It's laid out nice and it was well stocked with everything you need. Check in and check out is a breeze. If you are looking for a nice cabin just outside of town this one will not disappoint you.
This was our 2nd visit to this cabin. We love the location. Close to town but far enough away for peace and quiet. Cabin has everything you need. Amy is a wonderful host. The upstairs air conditioner broke right before check in. They did everything possible to try and accommodate us. Even refunded money for our trouble. Highly recommend and would stay here again!
We had another place rented that stated their was a hot tub and their wasn’t so I wasn’t able to cancel that and book this one and it was WAY better. The beds were so comfortable like my bed at home and the kids loved the bunk bed. We enjoyed relaxing in the hot tub and I was happy I was able to wash and dry all the clothes before we left. Home was very clean and had everything we needed. Will definitely book here again.
My son and I were in Sevierville for the Jeep invasion and wanted a property close to the convention center. We had stayed in the neighborhood in the past and like the location. This was our first stay in this house and we were thrilled. First, it was very clean and bug free. We have stayed in other cabins in the area which were nice but could use more attention to exterior cleaning and inset control. I understand that we are in the woods and insects are a way of life but this house was exceptional. Secondly, the amenities were wonderful. The kitchen is well equipped with quality components and supplies. I liked that we had access to foil, cooking oil, spices, coffee pods, etc. to get us started. Other touches that we enjoyed were the snacks, games, movies and especially the little pack especially for pet visitors. We were impressed with the furnishings - good mattresses and nice, comfortable furnishings. The bottom line is that I am going to try to reserve another weekend later this fall !! Thank you for your hospitality and I hope to visit again soon.
We were very disappointed in this return stay to this home. We stay at the first of the year and the house was very clean and were pleased. Our only suggestion was for an outside light for late night outings with dogs. We were surprised to see that this was not taken into any consideration to add a light for safety on the only side of the house with grass. When we entered the house this time the house was not like last time, dust was very thick on all surfaces throughout the house and something was all over the master bedroom floor. Our biggest concern this trip that made our decision to never want to come back was the nights woken up by rodents running in the attic over the master bedroom. Not sure what exactly it was but if an outside light for safety wasn’t any concern for them to make guest feel comfortable then I’m sure rodents won’t be either and at some point they will end up in the home. Unfortunately as much as we loved this homes location and our first stay we won’t be returning to this home in the future.
Cabin was very easy to get to and right outside of the city. Was only a few minute drive to get to everything you needed. Cabin was very spacious and clean. Had plenty of natural lighting with the large windows. Had climate control for both downstairs and upstairs separately. Kitchen was fully stocked with anything you might need. As well as everything working properly during our stay. Hot Tub was one of the most comfortable we have encountered on our vacations. The bedroom in the master bedroom was very soft. As well as the pillows. Didn't use the second bedroom. However, they looked to be comfy as well. Bathroom was spacious with a very large window overlooking the spa tub. We did not use during our trip. Water took a minute or so to warm up. However, got extremely hot and we didnt encounter running out of hot water during our stay. So i wouldn't say thats a negative. Fire pit was right outside the cabin down the driveway maybe twenty feet. Had plenty of natural rock seats. Driveway was a little steep. But nothing too bad. I drive a Toyota Corolla and didn't have any issues getting up it. Overall I was very satisfied with the cabin and the host. Can't really think of anything negative other than we had to leave.
