Cabin was great and in perfect condition. The outdoor areas and hot tub were perfect for relaxing and taking the end of beauty Smokies. The beds were comfortable, the living areas were cozy, and Ryan was very easy to work with in communicate with! Looking forward to staying here again!
The Cabin was just amazing, there is wildlife around that was just so much fun to admire. The Host was always prompt to get back with me on anything and was just overall very kind. We felt very at home, The cabin had so much space!! My Family had a Beautiful time and we made some very, very good memories. Thank you so much!!
Beautiful new cabin with all the amenities needed for a great stay. Highly recommend. We had an amazing time celebrating my wife’s 50th birthday with our kids.
Love the quiet location of the cabin. Very nice and spacious, and decorated very nicely. We used the outdoor fireplace every night. Owners are quick to respond and pleasant to deal with.
Absolutely amazing cabin! Everything was perfect. Great amenities! Clean and very well maintained. It sits up in the mountains with great views! The owners were awesome and very helpful and responsive. I would highly recommend this cabin!
The cabin was very clean and new! Fabulous views and was very peaceful and private for our trip. It had everything we needed for our spring break trip. Close to Pigeon Forge. We loved all the entertainment spaces and we enjoyed sitting on the expansive deck in the evenings.
My family and I needed a home away from home as we had plans to do an overnight stay at Mt. LeConte. Bear Down Hideaway was perfect for us. We had ten in our party and all fit very comfortably. The cabin was very easy to get to and felt secluded and private. The large kitchen counter made it easy to serve meals to our large party. Multiple televisions enabled some to watch football as others chose to watch movies. Our return hike from LeConte poured rain so we were all very grateful for the four showers as we all rushed to clean up and get warm. The hot tub was especially nice to soothe our worn muscles after ascending and then descending close to 4000ft. I definitely recommend and would return again to Bear Down Hideaway for another relaxing and cozy stay in the mountains. I hope others enjoy it as much as we did.
Even better than the photos — perfect mountain escape!
Bear Down Hideaway exceeded all our expectations. The cabin is absolutely beautiful, even more impressive in person. We loved having three separate living rooms to spread out and relax, and the kids had a blast playing games and Shuffleboard. It looks like they’re adding a cutting-edge Omni One VR system, which is such a cool addition! The setting is peaceful and secluded with lovely views, yet it’s just a short drive to Pigeon Forge and the Wears Valley entrance to the national park — super convenient for exploring the Smokies. The kids couldn’t get enough of the queen bunk beds and hot tub, and we spent every evening dining outside and enjoying the outdoor fireplace. We also really appreciated the 8 TVs throughout the cabin — especially the 85” screen in the theater room, which made for some amazing movie nights. This cabin truly has everything. We can’t wait to return!
Close to amusement parks, restaurants, and shopping. Wooded location in the mountains provided privacy. Spacious cabin with plenty of bathrooms for our large family group. Very clean. I highly recommend this property for your vacation.
Had so much fun visiting this property! Loved the layout of the house and enjoyed the beautiful patio. The patio swing was so relaxing and the fireplace outside was such a gem! The hot tub was great and located right off of the main area so it was nice to just be able to pop out there! We saw lots of wildlife in our short trip there. A ground hog, several chipmunks, and on our last day got to watch a bear lazily stroll by!
This place was gorgeous. We spent a lot of time on the deck by the fireplace. The kitchen was appointed better than most VRBO's that I have stayed in. The owner was very responsive with any questions that I had and overall we had a fantastic time calling this our home base for all of the activities we did around the area.
We absolutely loved this cabin! It is ideal for large groups and with each room being an en-suite it made it private for everyone; it is packed with entertainment also. I highly recommend this house if you want to immerse yourself in the woods for relaxation and the sounds of the wilderness, although Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg are just a very short drive away for entertainment. You cannot go wrong with the location of this cabin.
The cabin is as beautiful, clean and well cared for as in the photos! Ryan kept in touch with us and was easily reachable for any questions. Located in a beautiful area, easy to get to Pigeon Forge, Gatlinburg and Dollywood. There were six of us, with room for at least six more in this spacious, well appointed cabin. Loved all the games and fun things to do in the cabin! Huge outdoor decks for relaxing.
We could stay forever at Bear Down Hideaway! Perfectly nestled on a private wooded mountain side among gorgeous fall colored trees. Cleanliness was impeccable, kitchen set up provided everything we needed for a family of 10, hot tub/spa worked beautifully, VR gaming system huge hit with young adults, outdoor fireplace perfect for smores, interior living room and fireplace cozy for family game night and bedrooms/baths super accommodating for our entire family including our two grandmothers on the main floor! Our younger female adults had the entire loft/bedroom upstairs and young men hung out in the two game rooms downstairs. Our family is committed to visiting again and again... do not pass this one up! It is a winding drive up and if traveling in snow - please have 4 wheel drive for vehicles, it's worth it!
We were so pleased with our stay here. The house was just as beautiful in person as the pictures make it look! The was plenty of room for all of us (multiple families staying here). It was close enough to town for convenience, but far enough removed from it to get away from it all, we even saw a bear one day on the drive up the mountain, probably less than a mile from the house!
