The Space:
The Hummingbird Hideaway is an enchanting retreat situated on a sprawling 5-acres, where modern comfort dances with rustic charm. Our 2-bedroom, 2.5-bath log cabin, crafted in 2022 using trees from the very land it graces, provides a snug sanctuary for up to 6 guests.
Indoors, discover the seamless blend of modern ease and rustic allure. With a loft space and accommodations for 6, it's an ideal spot for those seeking solitude, friends on an escapade, or a romantic rendezvous. Unpack, unwind, and settle into the essence of home.
Outdoors, traverse the expansive grounds (5 acres!) where majestic trees stand as silent guardians and the landscape serves as a canvas for serenity. Enjoy your secluded sanctuary, where hammocks sway beneath starry skies and a hot tub beckons for serene relaxation. Unmatched privacy awaits, offering solace from the clamor, yet remaining a skip away from the vibrant allure of Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. Dollywood, anyone? 🦋
The heart of the dwelling lies in its well-equipped kitchen, beckoning culinary exploits or leisurely brunches. Envision yourself sipping coffee on the porch, embraced by the symphony of nature.
Experience the refreshing touch of our recently installed water filter and softener, bestowing its rejuvenating effects on your hair and skin.
Whether you crave adventure or a tranquil escape, our log cabin is your portal to both realms. Secure your spot now and uncover the perfect equilibrium between serenity and discovery, forging memories that linger for a lifetime. Your mountain haven beckons!
Please note: THIS IS BEAR COUNTRY. Who knows, you might get lucky and see a bear...or several. Keep a respectful distance, and you should be good. 👍 Even better, please take a few minutes to educate yourself on bear etiquette and safety before your arrival. You don't want to make things awkward or uncomfortable for our Smoky Mountain natives, right? Here's a little crash course in bear etiquette (from Bear Wise .org):
▪️Never Feed Or Approach Bears▪️
Intentionally feeding bears or allowing them to find anything that smells or tastes like food teaches bears to approach homes and people looking for more. Bears will defend themselves if a person gets too close, so don’t risk your safety and theirs!
▪️Secure Food, Garbage And Recycling▪️
Food and food odors attract bears, so don’t reward them with easily available food, liquids or garbage. Make sure your car and the cabin are locked. Yes, bears know how to use door handles.
▪️Never Leave Pet Food Outdoors▪️
Only feed pets indoors. Store pet food where bears can’t see or smell it.
▪️Keep Dogs Leashed
▪️Letting dogs chase or bark at bears is asking for trouble; don’t force a bear to defend itself. Keep your dogs leashed at all times, or leave them at home.
▪️Know What To Do If You See A Bear
🛑 If you see a bear before it notices you, don’t approach. Stand still, enjoy, then quietly move away.
🛑 If a bear sees you, back away slowly. Never run; running may trigger a chase response.
🛑 If a bear approaches, hold your ground, wave your arms and yell “Hey Bear” until it leaves. Always stay with your group. If it keeps approaching, use bear spray.
🛑 If a black bear makes contact with you, do NOT play dead; fight back aggressively.
Guest Access:
The cabin and the expansive 5 acres it calls home are all yours to relish during your stay!
We are located at the top of a steep-ish gravel drive. I have had no problem climbing it in a front wheel drive sedan, but if there is snow or ice you might want to opt for a 4 wheel drive vehicle.
