The house was a nice size for our family and dogs. The water was too cold for us, but the dogs loved it. Very peaceful and quiet place to relax and enjoy family time playing games
We had the best time in TN for spring break. My son loves to fish and took advantage of all the nearby lakes and rivers! The house was wonderful and close to everything we wanted to do.
The property provided a secluded and private atmosphere for a pre-thanksgiving and birthday getaway for our family… and we took advantage to Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge and Smoky Mountains… we truly enjoyed our stay and will consider for future trips to the area
We frequently rent lake houses for long weekends on several different lakes throughout TN, NC, SC, and GA. This property is by far the best property our regular group of folks have been to. Beautiful mountain views, short boat ride to killer sunsets, nice and tidy peninsula for morning coffee walks. We will be absolutely sure to return. Can't think of anything at all with the property that I could suggest to improve on! Thanks for having us!
I want to start by saying it over the years I’ve rented a lot of properties at lakes and Shores
When you think of a Lakehouse this property is what you’d ideally want.
It has every feature a Lakehouse should have from a very nice dock to a covered deck by the dock decorated with all kinds of lake minded stuff. Fishing runs water skis all mounted on the lower deck complete with refrigerator
It’s difficult to describe in words the view that the property offers of the lake the fishing is great you have the ability to take your own boat you can shoot trap from the dock
Relaxing out on the porch was amazing! The beds were very comfortable and clean. It was a luxury to have 2 refrigerators. It was also nice to have wifi, even with our large group it only slowed down a few times at night. I couldnt believe how clean and bug free the dock was, usually around a lake there are a million spiders, and we only saw a few. Could have stared out at the lake forever. Only suggestion, a better light in the carport area, there might have been one that we missed, but not sure. Other than that everything was perfect! Really loved the lights on the dock and arou d the firepit, made it very nice to see out at night.
The cabin was very clean and well stocked with linens, dishes, pots and pans. I am thankful that I brought a roll of paper towels. 1 roll of paper towels was provided, but when I cook, I use a lot. LOL The property, the deck, Dock and every thing was high quality and just perfect. This cabin is located in a cove, so there is very little boat traffic.
We had an amazing time here. The driveway is long and goes all the way to the lake. Such a peaceful place to walk, watch rabbits, birds and wildlife. There was a racoon that we had to fuss with about getting into the trash. LOL
The owner was very responsive to any questions we had.
Everything was just perfect. If you are looking for a quiet cove with a perfect cabin, look no further.
Thank you so much!!
This was our first attempt with booking with VRBO in Tennessee. All we knew was that we wanted to be in Sevierville, we wanted to be on Douglas Lake and we wanted to be able to launch my brother’s 23’ boat. This place was everything we wanted and more! It was perfect! The house is beautiful, spacious and clean. The kitchen is big,and stocked well with everything we needed to cook. The deck overlooking the lake was our favorite spot next to being in the lake swimming. We hung out on the floating dock swimming every day. The only thing we will bring with us next time is an easy up awning for the floating dock to give us a break from the sun. This was our best vacation ever! Highly recommended!
Quiet cove on the water. Indoor fun with game room and TV with Roku. Dock for rental boats and our paddle boards and kayak. Shaded area near dock for hanging out. The fire pit was great for s’mores.
Our family cooked in the complete kitchen and enjoyed time together on the water. Great location😀
Negative- lighting for wheel chair ramp was nonexistent. Also, very weak boards at the top of the ramp that needs replacing. We had 2 family members in wheel chairs and it was very difficult to get them in and out after dark. Yard didn't have enough lighting, we was scared to let our small dog out due to poor lighting and hearing coyotes very close at night.
Positive- property and home is BEAUTIFUL! Very private! Great for anyone who loves the outdoors. It had plenty of room, we had a very small dinner after our wedding and it was perfect for everyone to have room to eat and serve food. Pictures here was BEAUTIFUL! Honestly wished we had just had the wedding here. It is handicap assessable aside from the weak boards and lighting issues there wasn't any other problems, plenty of room for wheelchair in the bathroom. But no shower chair of any sort. We loved taking evening walks down by the lake and watching the different wildlife we saw. Road was accessible for small cars. Lots of room for parking. We had a good supply of towels, toilet paper ect. Kitchen had everything we needed. We would definitely stay again!
This is an excellent cabin with a lot to do for both children and adults. The host replied very quickly to questions asked before the stay. The biggest shock was how low the lake was but people were still riding boats and the kids were able to fish. It just looked much different than the picture. Our only con is we wish we were able to stay longer!
Had a wonderful time with family at the Golden Bell cabin. The guys fished from the bank, we watched SEC football & fixed homemade Chili. Many wonderful memories were made during my birthday weekend. Hope to return in the Spring.
Had a blast with the dock side and house. We had a fire one night and the porch is awesome to sit out and chat with my family. Slept well and well equipped house. Look forward to going back next year
