Fireside Retreat is a Tiny Home! It may be only 400 sq ft but it packs all the amenities that you need for your stay in the Smoky Mountains. This Tiny Home has a small fire ring outside with a park grill and a picnic table so you can enjoy the outdoors. You can also relax on the deck and listen to the frogs in the nearby creek. As you go inside the Tiny Home to the left of the front door there is wrap around seating with a dinning table. The TV is located above the table. The couch and coffee table is to the right of the door. Walking straight into the Tiny Home is the kitchen that is fully stocked with all items to eat in if you so desire. To the right of the kitchen is a stacked washer and dryer. There is a hall closet to hang clothing or to store away your luggage. The bathroom has a stand up shower (no tub). The bedroom has a king bed and more storage. In the living room take the stairs up to a loft where there is also a king mattress and TV (the overall head room is 3 feet) it would be an idea spot for young children or your teenagers. This place is just like the pictures they show. Very clean and big enough for me. Very quiet in the camp ground. Great location and a dollar general close to it for whatever you may need. Loved there was a dollar general within walking distance. The only complaint we have is the hot water doesn't last long at all. Two people can't take a shower back to back. We can't wait to go back. Stayed Dec 24th-Dec 31th. We got a call saying everything was frozen at the cabins because of the weather. We could either stay at a later date or was advised to bring gallons of water with us to accommodate our needs while staying (another cabin was offered to us for showering). We decided to continue our trip since we were almost there anyway. We arrived with very easy check-in & the cabin was very warm & comfortable!! We didn't get water in the cabin until Wednesday, but we didn't mind at all. The guys worked so hard in the freezing weather to try & get everyone's water going that was brave enough to stay. As for the kitchen utensils, there were plenty dishes & pots, but no baking pans or mixing bowls, (we don't usually eat out much, but like to do our own cooking). It didn't slow me down but used what was there to make do. The bed was very hard & eventually went to Wal-Mart & got a mattress topper. The only thing we would change would be the king size bed in the downstairs bedroom. With us being older with some mobility issues there was no room on either side of the bed to get out easily. It was difficult getting in & out of the bed. We did get snow which was a Great bonus!! We will be staying with you again!! ##### Denise M. This tiny home had all the comfort of home in a compact space. We enjoyed the fireplace on those cold icy mornings and evenings. This year, the cleanliness of the cabins have really went down hill and the staff wasnā€™t very accommodating. However the maintenance man is he best thing about this place. The kitchen was well stocked with all the equipment you need to cook. The location was a beautiful safe area. The neighboring cabins were quiet and respectful. Further down on Wears Valley road thereā€™s several shops and even a food truck park which was heavenly. The front desk was very accommodating. Overall, we plan to come back here. The beds were comfortable. I loved that our unit had a washer/dryer. Not all of them do. Also, right up from the food truck park is the Foothills Parkway. Reviewer Comments: Tiny doesn't even describe what this rental gave us for the week. The view was amazing. You are surrounded by mountains. Even though you are not too far from the road and surrounded by neighbors, it is peaceful and quiet. You can hear the birds, frogs and watch the clouds pass by the mountains with your view.The home might have been a tiny home, but the memories and experience that it gave us was larger than life.We could not give this review a 5 out of 5 across the board on the home due to having to replace the bathtub liner. As I was about to take a shower the whole corner of the liner had mold. Although everything else in the home was clean, it did make me second guess if everything was. We did take it upon ourselves to replace the $5.00 liner and since it was minuscule, we did not even notify the rental company and still tipped the cleaning staff.Regardless, you could not find a better rental property with space, peacefulness, beauty and affordability. ##### Cathy C. Reviewer Comments: This was the first tiny house that my wife and I stayed in and it far exceeded our expectations. For only 400 Sq.Ft. it was very comfortable and spacious enough for us both. This house has nice amenities and appliances and also has a great view from the front porch. Very clean and up to date.
