The apartments stay at a few minutes walking from the city´s historical ex-libris such as the Praça do Bocage, the Monastery of Jesus, the Avenida Luísa Todi, the fish and vegetable Market, amongst others. The beautiful and unique Sado river and Arrábida Mountain view are only at a mere 10 min. walk. The Portinho apartment, named after one of the most beautiful beaches on the peninsula, stays on the first floor and features an exclusive patio where guests can enjoy the sun and dine outside. The apartment has all amenities which include air conditioner, flat screen tv, hair dryer, mixer, toiletries, bed linen, towels, amongst others. Wi-fi is available for free. Baby cot is also available on request. There is no elevator in the building, so the access to the apartment is via stairs. Easy access to all public transports such as buses and taxis and very close to the central bus station. There is on-street parking and parking lots close by, about 3 minutes by car. It is in the downtown area that one can find much of the traditional trading, there are stores for every taste. But the downtown does not live solely of commerce as culture peeks around every turn. Practically all the downtown streets converge to Praça do Bocage, one of the key meeting points of the people of Setúbal and those visiting the city. The Bocage Square is stage for several esplanades, dedicated to one of the greatest figures of Portuguese poetry. Also, in this square is where you´ll find the Municipal Town Hall. The statue of the poet Bocage, with his eyes fixed on the sea, is the landmark of the busiest square in the City. Right up ahead, we highlight the main avenue of the city, dedicated to Luísa Todi, born in Setúbal and recognized as one of the greatest names ever in lyric singing. In this avenue guests will find several restaurants, supermarkets, lovely kiosks and esplanades and the famous Fish Market, which deserves a special visit. Just off the busy and bustling city the Arrábida mountain lurks, with its breath-taking views, spectacular beaches and unique fauna and flora. Figueirinha, Galápos, Galapinhos, Portinho da Arrábida and Creiro are but a few of the magnificent beaches where guests can enjoy sunbathing and clear blue water. I loved that it's in the heart of everything--shopping, art, dining, beautiful cobblestone alleys, the Praça do Bocage (a lovely plaza with food, street music and shopping)... The location is absolutely fantastic and within walking distance to everything needed. Anything outside of the city we were readily able to get an Uber.The apartment is a perfect size for two adults with a bedroom, bathroom, little kitchenette, eating area/living room, and a outside patio, which is fantasticThe apartment could use a little bit of upgrade on a new paint job and better towels, but was a fantastic location, so well worth the stay.It is on the first floor European, second floor AMERICAN with no elevator so just be prepared to carry suitcases up a flight of stairs. Near many restaurants, bakery, and shops. Very walkable to the downtown area and everything you need. Beautiful part of town and best location to everything The apartment could have been adorable for 2 people if it had been better maintained. Had to contact the manager for ongoing issues. Manager sent her son to let us in on our arrival. Seemed odd Issues with the apartment: 1\. shower was badly clogged so had to take very quick showers for 3 days until plumber arrived. He left the plunger in the shower when done 2\. 5 pillows on the living room sofa didn’t have any covers. Just the stuffing. 3\. 2 bedroom pillows also had no covers-just the stuffing 4\. Broken plastic signs with apartment information that was hidden behind the tv 5\. Only 1 light blanket - had to borrow one from our daughter 6\. Outside chair was broken along with the drying rack for clothes. 7\. Sofa was dirty. 8\. Lock on bedroom door broken The manager did respond quickly and said they were having issues with cleaning staff. Not all issues were resolved. ##### Tracey G.
