"The Charming Cottage is more than charming... it is in a splendid setting of remarkable waters, brilliant skies and green level lawn with towering trees. It is Mother Nature wearing her best as Mount Baker looms across the Strait. This third visit was to soak in this beauty rather than use the cottage as a base to visit sites around the Olympic Peninsula, though it serves that purpose, too. The cottage is pristine, clean, comfortable with everything that I could want at my fingertips, including a fully-equipped kitchen. I loved having my morning coffee sitting in the sunroom! My visits to several lavender farms in full bloom were highlights. Deborah, the host, emailed me to make sure everything was to my liking. My dog, Daisy, was in her element, and did not want to return home to the city when it was time to get in the car. Neither did I. I'm still dreaming of herons, eagles, butterflies, flowers, deer, and hummingbirds. I will be back!"
