Beautiful house and gardens and views
The house and gardens are lovely and the staff is wonderful. Budi, Atun and Fauzan do a wonderful job helping everyone feel welcome and at home. There is no hassle in arranging day trips, because Budi handles everything. The area doesn't have a lot of tourists and the locals are super friendly. The beach was a lot busier than described in the listing, but only with locals, and it was kind of fun to mingle. Budi advised us not to swim there, and it did look too rough and steep, especially for young kids. There are other beaches for swimming, Budi can take you, and the pool is great. The only downside is the noise, the road is very busy and you hear scooters constantly, even at night. The call to prayer happens five times a day, which is fine, but there are other prayers, especially during Ramadan and on Fridays that can go on for a pretty long time. There are roosters and dogs as well, so basically not quiet, though very private. Overall though, we had a great time and really appreciate Budi, Atun and Fauzan.
