The location of the hotel is very nice. It is just a few steps away from the lake Tazawako. They served very yummy local cuisine too. So has this property; it is a bit tired and in need of some love and attention. Having said that, the overall experience was very good, with great staff and exceptional dining. ##### Jeffery Stayed 1 night in Oct 2024 ### 10/10 Excellent #### Michiyo 22 Apr 2024 Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service, property conditions & facilities ４月中旬、角館のお花見を目的に、周辺のお宿を探していた中で、温泉もあり、部屋食だったこちらに２泊滞在しました。 一番は、朝晩のお食事が豊富で、大変美味しかったことです。 温かいお料理は（焼物、揚げ物、汁物等）直前に調理されるとのことで、その中でも春野菜の天ぷらがサクサクしていてとても美味しかったです。 また、お子様連れのご家族には、年齢等に合わせてお料理を出してくださるそうです。 昨今、ビュッフェスタイルのホテルや旅館が多い中、このお食事スタイルを変えないのは、料理長さんのこだわりのようです。お食事でのリピーターさんが多いとのこと、納得です。 部屋数も15部屋程なので、大浴場も早めに行ったら貸切状態でゆっくりできました。 家族風呂もあり、とても便利でした。 気になった点は、季節柄小さな虫が多く、男性用の露天風呂には虫が浮いていたようですが、まめに清掃はされているそうです。 スタッフの方々も皆さん親切で、80代の実父もとてもゆったり過ごすことができました。 ##### Michiyo Stayed 2 nights in Apr 2024 ### 10/10 Excellent #### Hanna 27 Oct 2024 Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service, amenities, property conditions & facilities We booked our stay to experience a traditional Ryokan and are so glad we did! From the moment we entered the building, the staff made us feel welcome, were incredibly attentive and the picture of Japanese service standards, which are so much higher than what we are used to in Europe! We were incredibly impressed with the meals in general, but particularly the dinner was outstanding. Our waiter made the experience extra special and we loved the pride with which he explained the dishes to us as well as the food presentation. Dinner is served in a private dining room opposite the rooms. The rooms are spacious and very clean. We would highly recommend to book this place if you’re up for a truly Japanese experience.
